- I was doing a research trip up in Bogor, Indonesia and my business partner forwarded to me this business to visit. Minaqu home nature is a plant retail shop, but they also helped organise a semi-permanent plant fair at Jungle Fest Bogor that enabled local growers to showcase and retail their plants in booths. I start this video tour at the Minaqu Home Nature store, and then moved by way to the exhibition. Unfortunately it started raining, so we had to cut the video short abruptly, but I will be back! This video covers a lot of interesting plants, both common and rare. In this video I come up with a new hashtag #AroidFatigue , which is when you have seen or cared for too many aroids, when in fact there are so many other species that are equally or more spectacular.

Yes its popular here, though I am not sure how well they ship as they are as finicky as begonias

I'm pretty sure i commented on a previous video about the ID of that maranta it is not a silver band, its a what people call a maranta noID as it hasn't been named. silver band looks very different

The Fittonia thrives in a closed eco-system, putting them in a terrarium and letting them take care of themselves is a great way to enjoy them 🙂

Hi shawn, love yr videos esp.the experiment ones, btw, im curious about the name of the agloenema at 15:58 ?cause i have that one which i got for free from my friend cause she was not taken cared of and struggling , and because it was struggling it put out so many pups at the bottom which i separated, now i have the mother + 5 pups lol, would like to know the name
Could be the Aglaonema cutlass
@@onlyplants i looked up agloenema cutlass and its not, mine is exactly like the one in the video, the leaf is thin. Except for the edges which has green edges , the leaf has like a silver/mint color, even i still cant find the ID so far. , thanks for the reply shawn 😊

18:29 that’s not a Gloriosum ~ looks very pillowy , usually that means it’s a pastazanum or McDowell , I’m not good at differentiating between them :)
Maranta silver band is the dream 😍 and M. Pinnatipartita in Singapore that can be bought for $25-30 at that size , quite affordable because it’s not so hyped :) So nice to see Bogor nurseries, thanks Sean!

Coleus are called Mayana here in the Philippines.
Its also called Miana here in Indonesia.
The monalena is kinda tricky. Beautiful when grown right, but....mine has lost all its leaves in shipping and is dormant since October last year. It looks like a half-buried potato.
I keep it because it got still some green, but it is kinda annoying.
Fittonia is pretty easy if you keep the humidity high. I grow mine in a small glass enclosure with some ferns.

I'm just browsing their online shop and they seem really pricey. There's alocasia watsonia for 816000rp which is probably about 70$US. Theres a leea amabilis for 867000rp but i got one from Sumatra for 150000rp. The plants do look big and healthy compared to most sellers though. there's some plants here for 800$, 500$...
Hha these days sellers arent as open to sharing the prices because they go up and down like a roller coaster

What does a pinnatipartita cost at the moment? I have a gloriosum, plowmanii and a lucent on my wishlist! Pinnatipartita is cheaper than gloriosum in my country. Lucent never seen before.
Pinnati costs 7-8x more than gloriosums here
M. pinnatipartita cost only $10 with 5 leaves (5-7 inches length each leaf) here, as per P. gloriosum it cost $12 for just 2 leaves (9 inches in length)
