Full defensive bro .. a 25 year old can go full aggressive investing.. you are suggesting debt funds to them .. I think you have your eye set on 12-15 cagr max ..that percentage can be got by investing in any MF without any experts like you guidance.. if I invest through you then why shouldn’t I expect 18-20 percent..

      Hear me out, bro
      - He has a lot of experience and has seen the ups and downs of the market
      - I assume you (like myself) are new to equity investing. After 2020, we have only seen a bull market. A real bear market is yet to be seen. Even I have made 28% cagr in the last 5 years. but I understand 15% is a pretty good cagr. Better than other options like Bank fd is 6% on an avg, pf is 7.1, on the higher side nps is 10%.
      - 12% is a reasonable expectation from the equity class but I am sure their suggested portfolios have given a lot more
      - More than 18-20% cagr in the long term is an exception. it needs to be a bull phase, the portfolio needs to be concentrated, needs to be mid and small-cap. Individual-level portfolios can take these chances and risks
      - If I am managing 1000s of crores, I would diversify, would take less risk as others' life savings are involved
