- This version is not on the 2012 EP, it is slightly different as it is better mixed and has sample drums before the last chorus. The footage is from when they just formed, it was probably there second show as "Paris". Awesome how big they have become in such a short time.

Post-hardcore PVRIS is something I really need in my life
Wish they released the version with screaming, it was so good
I really wish this EP existed on Spotify. All these tracks (although great stripped down) go so hard! This and Waking Up especially!
Genuinely think this could have been a massive hit on the pop punk/post-hardcore scene. Such a shame it never got a chance.

there is a chance. when linkin park started, there demo stuff was banned because they were under a copyright name when making them. This was then dealt with and they released some of the demos on disks for fans.

+Jamie MacFarlane well, no I don't think it was Lynn. just riserecords because Paris is taken. It effected Lynn's girlfriends band alot to as the decision removed some there tracks.
Nathalie Rae any chance you could share the EP? Everything I found online are pretty low quality copies. Unless that’s just how it was?
@@mr.perplex_122 false, they removed it bc they don't wanna be post hardcore anymore dude. They had a full EP with screaming on it but ditched it for radio play.

In my opinion i love more the stripped version of the song cause its soothing and calm although i like this version

I remember when they played this for the first time at rockos our local show pub and we all knew the words already. We were all just kids that’s so weird. Place went nuts and I’m pretty sure it was their first show ever.
I may even be in this video I can’t tell if it’s me or not I was like 17 maybe younger

The Paris EP was completely wiped off of any official platform they published their music on once they signed to Rise Records and made their debut album, White Noise. Luckily, all the songs are preserved on the internet including The Heartless’s music video - though Waking Up is the only song without a high quality version available anymore (it’s not clear if there was one in the first place). The Paris EP is probably never going to be published again since Lynn, for some completely unknown reason, hates to talk about that EP and deters or ignores any questions asked about it
