There's two things that amazes me with TFK. The first thing is how awesome their music is, and the second is that not more people are listening to it.
I love how distinct his voice is.
Phenomenon is EASILY TFK's best album. Nuff said.

apparently event staff prevented them from doing so...
Well their is lots of chairs on the floor seats so they couldn't crowd surf. It is a 3 day event called YC Alberta (youth conference). And if this was a sidestage event their would be so much moshing. Back in 2010 they still allowed the crowds to mosh at YC. They don't allow it anymore cause tons of people were getting hurt. Its a shame but people still do it until security stops them:)

@jukilema So? Only at that one part that I heard, and that's just overdubbing not lip syncing. Over dubbing is what Les Paul invented where you track one layer of audio over another, that doesn't mean he isn't singing live too.

@faquiado That's a logical fallacy. Just because it's on DVD format means they MUST have edited it? No, some EQ maybe, but to make it sound good. Yes, he had some background vocals pre-recorded, but what do you want ONE guy to do when he multitracked some in in the studio? They're amazing live, I've seen tons of videos of them, from plain old RUclipsrs, and they're amazing.

@HUsolidier no, I wouldn't say that much, in my opinion he's definitely second best though. I think Myles Kennedy is the best singer in the world right now. Go check out Alter Bridge, on the song "Coming Home" off Live In Amsterdam, and on the song Slip To The Void on the new album AB III. He's got like, four octaves coming out of him. :P Trevor's great too, but, Myles is just a tad better.

And as for your comment about making a voiceover a studio quality... No that is not the point of doing a voiceover.. the point of doing a voice over to use your own words is.... "where the singer overlaps himself in the studio" to make up for mistakes that were made when he was singing live.. precisely what i've been saying all along and you just said pretty much the exact same thing yet your arguing with me lol....
lol were done here btw.. were filling up this page with too much crap.. but just an fyi.. I have done stage crew for them once before i moved up to doing foh for several other bands and working at a studio. and at 0:34 when he goes up the octave in the video? He doesn't do that live lol. as well their manager does foh for them last i remember the console they rent at yc generally doesn't have the capability of doing dsp's, indicating that some major after dressing in a studio is needed.

Trevor has better music, arguably, but I think TobyMac knows how to captivate and rock a crowd more effectively

@bigbadt50 True, but not THE best in all rock music. Definitely tied for top one in Christian music, not sure with who, but someone's gotta be as good. Matt Smith from Theocracy is also a multi-octave insanely awesome talented vocalist. he does ALL the choral vocals on their records, no software, just note by note himself, and he hits all the notes. It's insane.
haha, can't argue with ya there he's a tight ax player. just pointing it out lol. for example at 2:26 when he's playing the bridge and doing the triad up high it switches sides. you wouldn't have that happen with just one track going it would be too obvious.

yeah their manager does (or used to) do sound for them and isn't always the greatest at it. he tries though i'm not gonna go as far as to dis him for it.

for his main vocal track it is not what he sang.. its so obvious dude lol... i gave you two examples earlier where his mouth is clearly shut and yet you can still hear him singing and or the mic is too far away to be doing any good yet you still hear him singing as well yet you still defend it.. makes no sense man..
