Buddhists temples and monasteries never discriminate like that. It is typical to Christianity and Islam I guess. I went to church with my friend in Europe, I was treated the same. I wanted to try wine and bread but I wasn't allowed. Deep down in the philosophy of Abrahamic religions, discrimination is norm I guess.
Well, the truth about communion ( the wine and bread) is representing/ remembering the blood and flesh of Jesus Christ salvation and who should only be having after baptized and believed in his salvation. So, please don’t be offended.

Its never horrible to live in yangon or other big cities. Its the news which is making it looks like myanmar is horrible place. Yangon and mandalay have full of parties and festivals. Everything is normal.

Hey I just want to clarify that the people in the church are not being rude, it's not just them it's part of christian practice even i can't have communion because i haven't gotten baptized yet. The language barrier sounded like they are being rude but thank God you understood it. Again, thanks for visiting my country :).
I'm Christian and their tone definitely came across as rude. I would have felt so awkward and uncomfortable if I was her. Probably the first time the girl has ever been to a mass. She should have simply observed from the back, but if not, she should have just lied and said she was Christian. How would they know? As a Catholic, I think it's unfair that non-Christians can't take "communion" as we call it, and my mom always told me I'm not allowed to partake in the wine and wafer ceremony until I've had my first Communion. IDK if that's actually a thing, or just something my mom said, but I always thought it was unfair how strict they are about it. And all the people making a huge affair because Biden was given communion. As a Catholic, I apologize for these rules. But at the same time, if you are an outsider, I find it best to simply just observe.

the one you drunk is plum juice with lemon to make feel fresh in summer. but in my opinion, the best drink for summer is sugarcane juice. I hope u will come again after our country's political situation because the situation you saw is not normal 😞

Well, you can live like queen if u have money in myanmar. Even nice apartments in the city cost only around 20 thousand US dollars. After you buy it, u dont have to pay anything else for the rest of your life. No property tax or nothing.

Pls,be extra careful.Myanmar is not safe to go alone even for our Burmese.Avoid going alone at a very night time and be aware of pickpocket on buses,especially when you are in a city.Have a safe trip.
