@@minji9212 creativity is like a muscle, the more you practice the better it gets. If you feel like you lack creativity don't worry, don't stress yourself out on that, try to do different projects, try editing videos on your own and u'll eventually learn and come up with all the things u can achieve with editing. If u like it and want it as a career go with it
I don't think that was a mistake with Jin when they transition from Coldplay's "planet" to theirs, as they boys regularly run around behind the cameraman to come up on either side of whoever is singing center at the time in video shots, there's too many of them to do otherwise. When they pan in to the face and then back out gives them the time to do it. You see it all the time in BTS' videos, especially the one take mvs.
While yes I know what you're talking about, here it's quite clear his sleeve just appears. He didn't run into the shot. So yes it was likely a mistake by the video editing team or there was some reason they decided to keep it like that, that we might not be privy to.
Chris Martin is not standing infront of a green screen. This was filmed on an abandoned place, The Pool of Castellnou, in Rubi, Barcelona, Spain. Those are real plants spray-painted in different colors to make it look alien.
Yes and no. Only the immediate surrounding around the band is real. The rest is SFX/CGI, so naturally there is an artificial background/green screen/composite element to the scene. It's not 100% real. So they still have to layer elements, especially Chris onto an artificial background which is why you get that halo around him where he's superimposed onto a CGI background.

Total ARMY here, but BTS wasn't what all of us were here for as you said. I've been a Coldplay fan for more than 20 years and first saw them in concert in 2003. They're legendary and were making music as a band before JK was even born.

As i've said before this song is so beautiful that it makes me both smile and cry at the same time but now I've seen the MV I'm crying again it's so beautifully filmed and made I'm just in love with it and hearing those harmonies again especially Jimin with RM and Chris Martin with JK it's so beautiful. (if there wasn’t any COVID) *Opening Chorus* Chris Martin/ Coldplay The music video starts off in grayscale with the same message that was at the beginning of this concept’s music video, then the mv would have shots (close ups and panning) of various members of Coldplay on the stage getting ready to perform in either the Wembley Arena in the U.K. or MSG in NYC/ USA, then the mv would cut over to various (close ups and panning) shots of BTS on stage in the Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Seoul, South Korea. The backscreen would feature the opposite band, Coldplay’s back screen would have BTS, as BTS’s back screen would have Coldplay. As the second chorus is performed, there would be various shots of BTS and Coldplay performing on stage with interspliced cuts of fans running towards the arena, getting to the arena and entering it. There would be a wide shot of the interiors of the two arenas where there are people rushing towards the barricades. The mv would officially end with the same concession stand employee separating themself from the crowd to send out a mass message through social media, that message would be the same one in the official lyric video “We are ALL ONE in the Universe". Hi, regarding the visuals; it is shot as if the ‘holoband’ device picks up each person separately. Just to the edges of each and instruments if playing. Then renders them in some sort of grouping. That is why there are differences in how they appear in frame and against the backgrounds. We, the viewer, gets to move across all of them. The one in focus is solid, the others are transparent. It is done so very well. Lastly, Jordan missed the pause when the music stops. Then La Fricque hits the broadcast button and it all comes in wild. The she just jumps out! So so cool.
I think the story of this MV might have another part to it. It seems like with this new Coldplay album it's a concept album, and this song is the second single. So it may feel slightly incomplete because i think the lead single Coldplay released early has an MV that comes before this video (i haven't watched it so i don't know for sure, but i know the new album is a whole space theme).

I clicked on this reaction SO FAST(didn't even see it yet but excited) before even realizing what BTS song this was because Jordan's reaction videos are just 💋👌 I've been wanting to see this MV for a while now. Saw everything else about it except for the actual MV. I'm just enjoying watching MV's in general period though through these reactions because he does it in such a way that you can fully comprehend and appreciate everything so much more... while fangirling out 💜 My grammar is still SHOT from having my mind blown by all these vids so I don't even know if I'm making sense any more. Actually the members were behind the camera! We already saw this trick in Save me for example. They run around behind the camera to pop up and make it seem like they weren't there. It's a really normal trick for BTS.
People have called it many things, a vocoder or a talk box, is how you get that robotic voice in music using synthesizers and whatnot on a recorded voice. It's super cool. BTS' song Pied Piper uses it as well. I love it!
Freenjoy is supposed to be the production company for BTS concert in 2020 (that Washington canceled). I hope they still be their production team on the upcoming November concert in LA..
The set Coldplay was on was actually a real set, not composited. Its an abandoned swimming pool in Barcelona, they only added in taller buildings on top of the existing ones. All plants, grafitti, etc was reallt there. Only due to the lighting it seems like its animated, but it isnt There was a whole behind the scenes on how they made this videoclip including photos, written in a blog, but it seems like they deleted it. Probably because they want to release a behind the scenes video for it still.
Same for the set of the alien band, they recorded thay at an old concrete factory that had the huge pipes going over top and already had the yellow/orange stuff there. Of course they added in effecys and a new sky etc, but the main building actually exists. Just like the costumes foe the alien band, they werent animated, but actual make - up and costumes (yes even the robot). Theres pictures online where you can see the progress 😁 Seems like their budget was skyrocket high (literally)
I think Chris being darker than the background was done on purpose cuz u can see in the 00:43 minute of the mv (also in the 00:50 minute) there's a line separating the two levels of luminosity which may be due to the shadow of the silencer's ship which is above them, that's at what Chris is might be looking up... It's always good to see you reacting, especially when there's BTS on it💜💜💜 there's something special We laughed as usual, it was greaaat!
Enjoyed your enthusiasm and information very much. Didn't comment a year ago, but want to share a thought now. You know how, in some video games, you have to pause to supercharge a weapon before you unleash all its power? The DJ smashes that button, but that isn't when her ship takes off. Instead, that's the button to begin the supercharging sequence. All the bands create an explosion of music which stuns The Silencers, because they are not accustomed to so much sound. This gives enough time for the hyper-drive (?) to build up the power it needs. The DJ has helped the bands, and now they are helping her by providing a distraction. She knows when the engines are ready, and gives us one last look to say, "Now watch this!" Or is it, "I'll be back!" before she whips the ship around and escapes. ✨💜✨

This cooperation between BTS and Coldplay is really amazing to me. It shocked me like a planet impact!! What is the concept of cooperation between two top bands??! 💜💜💜 Sure enough, when I listened to this song for the first time, m it met my expectations. The cooperative song is still disco type, but it also has rock elements. It is also an 80s retro single, and the production is top enough. The top appearance of Billboard Hot 100 suddenly appeared in my mind, because it is worth it, really worth it!!! And should be on top of the world! The MV is good and the vocal especial the best main vocalist Jungkook of BTS, his vocal is so clear, heavenly as praised by Chris "so impressive". Jungkook's versatile and unique vocal, he is a singer of all genre, Euphoria, My Time, Still With You. Have a listen you ll enjoy as much.
Actually the video is pretty well constructed, there are the 3 stars, and when we are on either of them, we see the band members who are located there, while band members from the other stars appear as holograms and interact with them. So on 1:28 (the original video) , we are on Coldplay's star, V being on the BTS star appear there as a hologram at first, then we transition(with this cool green purple effect) to the BTS star, V is no longer a hologram, but now Chris Martin is. This element persist throughout the Video, it's a bit confusing since the Supernova7 band already looks a bit computerised, so mixed with the holograms of BTS and Coldplay it can confuse the viewer at first. But once you understand that, it actually makes a very cool and original music video. On 2:55 (the original video) you have a section where Chris is going between the different stars, first in the BTS star, then the Supernova7 star(in both he appear as a hologram) and then back to Coldplay star where he off course is no longer a hologram. And then the camera pan between the stars and each time we get members of the bands from the other stars appear as holograms in the current star, so it put some order and make a really cool transition.
To avoid copyright block, I had to cut the MV parts to under 10 seconds so I’m sorry they are so short and parts are cut out!

You can tell it was an editing mistake though. If you go frame by frame, Jin's sleeve just appears, it doesn't slide into frame.

As Chris Martin and Jungkook sings the first verse there would be a cut (3 camera angle views) of two separate arena employee's at their respective arena's concession, who happens to clean up the counter of the concession stand, as they are cleaning, they hear Coldplay and BTS perform, so they drop everything and goes to see what is going on in the main area of their respective arena, they smile as they see BTS and Coldplay peform, they would pull out her mobile phone to go on social media and livestreams to her friends the impromtu Coldplay concert, which the livestream spreads from her friends to people the tune into the livestream, which the mv would cut to various people dancing wherever they are and making their way to the arena.
*First Chorus*
Coldplay & BTS
The mv would cut back and forth between BTS and Coldplay as they perform, the use of various drone and panning shots would be used. The LED back screen behind Coldplay and BTS and the stage lights that surround them would cut on. The backscreen would feature the opposite band, Coldplay’s back screen would have BTS, as BTS’s back screen would have Coldplay. As the second chorus is performed, there would be various shots of BTS and Coldplay performing on stage with interspliced cuts of fans running towards the arena, getting to the arena and entering it. There would be a wide shot of the interiors of the two arenas where there are people rushing towards the barricades. The arena employee would be amongst the rushing mass.
*Second Verse*
V, RM & Jimin
As V would sing his part the mv would cut to various shots of him, even shots from certain mobile phone cameras, then cut to RM and Jimin singing their part of the second verse.
*Second Chorus & Post-Chorus*
Coldplay & BTS
The mv would again cut between BTS and Coldplay as they performed, however, now add into those cuts, cuts of various fans in the audience singing along, dancing and overall enjoying their respective favorites perfom on stage. The mv would slowly add in some color into atmosphere, it should start from light sticks (ARMY Bombs) and mobile phone screens. As this is going on, there would be a fan that would enter the production center of the arena, that fan would find a transmission button (fictional button), which turns on a nearby radio tower (fictional tower) that would blast out the message to everybody that are within several tens of miles at first, people in the shopping malls, in their cars, offices and at home.
During the first post-chorus, the mv would have a CG shot of the Earth with two blanketing soundwaves that would spread around the world from two “polar” ends of the world. The soundwaves would also be in color, Coldplay’s soundwave color would be blue and green and BTS’s sound wave would be red and purple. The MV would slowly pan inward as the soundwaves get closer and closer until they touch, as they touch a white shine would affect the grayscale atmosphere and instantly bring color to a once dreary world.
*Third Verse & Bridge*
Suga & J-Hope, Jungkook Jeon
In this part of the mv, there would be cuts of various previous concert moments of BTS and Coldplay, most specifically from their first concert tour. I would also never forget to have shots of both Suga and Jhope performt their parts as well, along with various shots of the fans.
*Final Chorus & Final Post-Chorus*
Coldplay & BTS
There would be various cuts of BTS, Coldplay, the fans and regular people from around the world dancing to the song, celebrating the message and spreading the love to one another, by dancing with each other. There would be some slow motion shots as well, as the song ends abruptly, however there would be shots of Coldplay’s Chris Martin turning around to look at the his LED back screen to look at BTS, which then cuts to BTS who returns the look back to Coldplay, they smile and nods, they turn around to bring the song to a crescendoing end, by Coldplay performing harder and BTS dancing and have 3J dance a choreographed dance.
The mv would officially end with the same concession stand employee separating themself from the crowd to send out a mass message through social media, that message would be the same one in the official lyric video “We are ALL ONE in the Universe".
BTW, the original mv was good, but this concept would do the song the best justice.

Hi, regarding the visuals; it is shot as if the ‘holoband’ device picks up each person separately. Just to the edges of each and instruments if playing. Then renders them in some sort of grouping. That is why there are differences in how they appear in frame and against the backgrounds. We, the viewer, gets to move across all of them. The one in focus is solid, the others are transparent. It is done so very well.
Lastly, Jordan missed the pause when the music stops. Then La Fricque hits the broadcast button and it all comes in wild. The she just jumps out!
So so cool.
I love how the problem with being able to perform together due to the pandemic lent itself to an amazing storytelling opportunity.
I think the story of this MV might have another part to it. It seems like with this new Coldplay album it's a concept album, and this song is the second single. So it may feel slightly incomplete because i think the lead single Coldplay released early has an MV that comes before this video (i haven't watched it so i don't know for sure, but i know the new album is a whole space theme).

Actually the members were behind the camera! We already saw this trick in Save me for example. They run around behind the camera to pop up and make it seem like they weren't there. It's a really normal trick for BTS.
Jungkook's vocals always gives me goosebumps
People have called it many things, a vocoder or a talk box, is how you get that robotic voice in music using synthesizers and whatnot on a recorded voice. It's super cool. BTS' song Pied Piper uses it as well. I love it!

The set Coldplay was on was actually a real set, not composited. Its an abandoned swimming pool in Barcelona, they only added in taller buildings on top of the existing ones. All plants, grafitti, etc was reallt there. Only due to the lighting it seems like its animated, but it isnt
There was a whole behind the scenes on how they made this videoclip including photos, written in a blog, but it seems like they deleted it. Probably because they want to release a behind the scenes video for it still.
Same for the set of the alien band, they recorded thay at an old concrete factory that had the huge pipes going over top and already had the yellow/orange stuff there. Of course they added in effecys and a new sky etc, but the main building actually exists. Just like the costumes foe the alien band, they werent animated, but actual make - up and costumes (yes even the robot).

I think Chris being darker than the background was done on purpose cuz u can see in the 00:43 minute of the mv (also in the 00:50 minute) there's a line separating the two levels of luminosity which may be due to the shadow of the silencer's ship which is above them, that's at what Chris is might be looking up...

Instead, that's the button to begin the supercharging sequence. All the bands create an explosion of music which stuns The Silencers, because they are not accustomed to so much sound. This gives enough time for the hyper-drive (?) to build up the power it needs. The DJ has helped the bands, and now they are helping her by providing a distraction. She knows when the engines are ready, and gives us one last look to say, "Now watch this!" Or is it, "I'll be back!" before she whips the ship around and escapes. ✨💜✨

This cooperation between BTS and Coldplay is really amazing to me. It shocked me like a planet impact!! What is the concept of cooperation between two top bands??! 💜💜💜 Sure enough, when I listened to this song for the first time, m it met my expectations. The cooperative song is still disco type, but it also has rock elements. It is also an 80s retro single, and the production is top enough. Actually the video is pretty well constructed, there are the 3 stars, and when we are on either of them, we see the band members who are located there, while band members from the other stars appear as holograms and interact with them.
So on 1:28 (the original video) , we are on Coldplay's star, V being on the BTS star appear there as a hologram at first, then we transition(with this cool green purple effect) to the BTS star, V is no longer a hologram, but now Chris Martin is. This element persist throughout the Video, it's a bit confusing since the Supernova7 band already looks a bit computerised, so mixed with the holograms of BTS and Coldplay it can confuse the viewer at first. But once you understand that, it actually makes a very cool and original music video.
On 2:55 (the original video) you have a section where Chris is going between the different stars, first in the BTS star, then the Supernova7 star(in both he appear as a hologram) and then back to Coldplay star where he off course is no longer a hologram. And then the camera pan between the stars and each time we get members of the bands from the other stars appear as holograms in the current star, so it put some order and make a really cool transition.
