The Glycerin 21 is more comfy than the 20. I still prefer Triumph 20/21 and Nimbus 25/26. But the Glycerin 21 is a solid shoe. Will sell tons. Good stability for a neutral shoe, good shoe for heavier runners (won’t bottom out). Kudos to Brooks for not raising the price vs the 20, at least here in Canada.
The grip is the talking point, so good in wet slick conditions. It’s a better option then a kayano30, I avoid the gts and use the stealthfit21. Even use it ahead of the Gt2000/12 , as asics midsole to hard as it’s cold early mornings.
Hello mate! I’m looking at these as I’m trying to come back from Achilles and post tib tendinitis. I don’t pronate too much and my wear pattern is quite natal but I do feel a slight collapse as I get tired. From what I’ve research it seems a higher drop protects the calf’s a bit and some sort of guidance can help with the post tib issues as I strengthen the area. Is this the stand out one? Really like the look of the new Tempus 2 as it’s supportive and faster. Any tips appreciated mate 👊🏼
The brooks 20’s foam keep resilient and freshness like first day, bouncy a bit,and not too squishy. On the other hand my Triumph 21 and ASICS GN 25’ that gone noticeably more soft and squishy. as a heel striker, the transition of the Brooks 20’s is the smoother from the trio. All of them above 150k.
Hi, it might have to do with weight. How much do you weigh? I am 153 lbs and testing the stealthfit version. After 7km, the foam seems to be breaking in very nicely (holding well for the long term)
@@fecardona Absolutely weight related I agree. I’m 167 lbs and some softer foams are not resilient enough for me. It would have been a good helping standard if reviewers would start input their weight as part of the review. It may save some trial and errors for others as I already learned.
I keep going round in circles - I’ve got the Adrenaline’s but find them a bit too firm. Would like a springier shoe but not a serious enough runner to have multiple shoes and need stability (brooks seems to work best for me). Would you recommend Hyperion GTS 2 or Glycerin GTS 21 for 3-4 runs a week with a half marathon in September? Not a super quick runner, just feel like my legs are so heavy in the adrenalines! Any help appreciated
I saw in some TRE previews for brooks from believe in the run that the ghost max is coming out with a second version using updated foam this year. I am waiting for that one and the Hyperion max 2 reviews before moving over to brooks :-)
My only only grip with the Glycerin range (running the 20's atm) is they are a bit too roomy in the toe box and can cause the odd blister, I really have to lock my feet into them. Apart from that they are a great shoe
Amazon has some of the New Balance Propel V4 color ways for $75-80 at the moment. I have really enjoyed running in those as daily trainers, and that price is a steal.
I have the Glycerin 20 which has deficiencies that have convinced me to avoid the series altogether. A boring shoe. Comfortable for walking and standing though. Not sure I'd be convinced to buy the 21.
Still not sold on the aesthetics of Brooks. They have moved on from the “how can I run quick in these dull things” look, to something that looks like a bunch of GCSE students were given the brief to jazz-up the brand
Yup, definitely looking better! but I still don’t see why we need \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ marks all over the guiderails 🤷🏻♂️ take those off and they’ll be there 👌🏻
Designs are improving, but that giant non-nike swoosh plonked on the side is the biggest grandpa look. I know each show is a piece of advertising for them, but it feels like the shoe designers have been so restricted with the size/positioning/styling of that swoosh. The Hyperion shows that they CAN make a great looking shoe. The committee are too scared to take a chance, though.

Right on
Thx for the review. I look forward to your thoughts on the elite
Something coming this week
I keep watching your shoe reviews but I really can’t justify more shoes! 😂I have already bought two new pairs this year!
Understandable

@FORDYRUNS giving Brooks some love.
Totally agree, though, mate. They've gone from 1985 to 2023/24 of late.
Just shows they're listening to you. Gov 😂
They deserve it the shoes are so much better

The v3 loft in my 20’s softened up a little over the first 100 miles and is even better now
Yep that’s my point
I find the dna loft v3 does soften and generally improve after the first few runs. Looking forward to trying these
Bang on and lasts v well
Really the look of this version, but v20 is £99 on Start Fitness and I really like that version. Is it really worth paying the extra for v21?
The 2mm more stack has improved the ride

Yeah will appeal to many
Big fan of my glycerine 20s, bit heavy but super comfy

It is
The 2024 Hyperion line looks great. As a Hyperion Max fan, I'm really curious about the feel of the DNA Flash v2.
Yes it’s 🔥🔥🔥
11.3oz is 320g ??
my everyday shoe size is 10 do you recommend staying at 10 or going upto 10.5 in this shoe for running in
My only only grip with the Glycerin range (running the 20's atm) is they are a bit too roomy in the toe box and can cause the odd blister, I really have to lock my feet into them. Apart from that they are a great shoe
Lots of room here
Good morning. Interesting description about the Glycerin 21. What do you think about the new ghost 16, please??. Like to Fordy. Have a wonderful day.
Improved
@@FordyRuns 👍
Wonder if the Ladies wide will only come in black or boring colour ways?
Hope so
Would you say that the glycerin 21 is good for walking and standing all day long?
Yes
Is there a difference in stability between the glycerin gts and adrenaline gts?
Not really
@@FordyRunsthanks! Good to know!

Great show
Seems pricey for a nitrogen EVA based midsole.
I wonder why Brooks aren't moving away from EVA.
Let’s see 🤐

If you didn’t like 20 not sure 21 for you … maybe Truimph 22
Merci pour votre travail. Je trouve la mousse trop rigide sur les glycérine.
It’s firmer

Check out the Hyperion line up but also look back they were terrible and now look to be fair

I told brooks to remove the word GTS as well
Good call 👍🏻
You just had to show the elite 4 in passing ........ you are a cruel man 😂
I’ll put something out later in the week
So expensive and no gusseted tongue. Shame on you Brooks.
There amazing shoes worst grip ever tho
outsole been improved on this shoe

Hyperion range is gonna blow up this year
