I say sports tape to tape the foot arch and heels. Then tie socks, and wool socks over them. Then Merrel, meshed water shoes with thick sole, anti slip version, over cushioned hiking shoes for rainy seasons, and a handsome light poncho instead of a rain jacket. A poncho is much faster to take off and packs quickly. And, a cooling scarf, and a cooling visor. Wet them to cool off the hot head and cover and cool ears. 3 fold trekking sticks, a pair. Lastly, a tiny Sun block stick, that doesn't burn eyes. This is rare and gets expensive in Spain. I carried a laundry sheet. And, there were laundry machines in every place I stayed except for one Airbnb type apartment. I walked in Oct into Nov. 2023.
Thank you! Yes, I hear you. When my travel wash runs out I have been known to use shower gel or those little hotel soaps. I walked with someone who simply went in the shower in their clothes and washed them right then and there :) All about smelling fresh, no matter how you get there, ha ha.
On 29th March 2022 I slept in an Albergue in Negreira where I encountered a German lady who was the worst snorer you could possibly imagine, even put my ex-wife to shame. Earplugs are essential, however the particular ones that you recommend are no good for my ears, I found some in Wickes that are far more effective for not a lot of money.
Did the Wickes earplugs help you against super snorers? Please do share a link as I’d be keen to see them. Every now and then you get someone in the dorm that takes snoring to another level, which makes for a bad nights sleep 😄

Some great bits of gear you’ve listed here!
Really enjoyed this video! Thank you :)
Hi Phillip, thanks for taking the time to watch it and post a comment.
Some good tips! I usually wash my clothes with soap I can find. Even shampoo can do the trick... 😉
As long as it all smells fresh again! 😉

@@Caminohacks I have often washed my clothes under the shower. 😁 Do it all in once! But you can only do that when there is no queue! 😁
@@StepsbyKaatje ha ha, very good point! You don't want lots of annoyed pilgrims knocking on the bathroom door 😁
