Man, mad respect to Plasma wolf. It couldn't have been a fun game for him but he stuck it out to the end and was somewhat relevant at all times. He even had a monkey lord steaming towards pink and a few squadrons of resistance fighters at the end, viva la innocents.
Yeah it wasn't that much fun for large parts for me. But I had to stick around to delay for the other three. I simply had no way of recovering on my island. It started with that Soul Ripper and after that artillery and nukes kicked me down every time I tried to get up. Still, if I had managed to take out that SR and keep my base (or a large part of it), then the game wouldn't have become this long and epic :)

Haha I tried too many times to snipe VIP... Shim ASF and VIP's dodging cost me the game.

Gyle, the Aeon Czar has immense anti-air capabilities. The ASF's don't die because they fly through the quantum beam, they die because the Czar has roughly 1000 flak DPS as well as 1000 sam DPS. When someone flies in with a fleet of 2-3 Czars, all of them need to die in the first pass or all your ASF's will immediately die to their combined flak DPS. They will often also vet 1-5 stars inside a one second time frame because the last flak ticks usually kill all of the ASF's simultaneously.

@Gyle, as an observer you can double click on the names as you did when showing that the teams were allied. When seeing from their point of view you can look at the storage in the upper left. If someone has a ludicrous amount of max storage (I think730000 mass) then you can assure yourself that they are phantom.
POST CARD: When you have the Phantom pre-build it decreases the time to, I think, 1-5 mins.
Gyle, there is an easy way to see who Phantom is. In this case it was obvious because they started with prebuild bases and assignment was early, but without presets, it is possible that a good innocent will have a bigger income than a bad phantom. You can still figure it out by clicking on the names and checking their Energy and Mass storage which is boosted tremendously when you are a phantom.
That was the best cast I have seen ever. Always good to see the Phantoms get pushed back.
Gyle you can adjust when the phantom assignment happens, and people will generally have the phantom assignments happen sooner if they have prebuild on like they did here.

@Gyle Phantom assignment by default is at 8 minutes, but the map has a t2 prebuild base and is scripted so that the assignment happens at 2 minutes instead. This is to make shorten the dead time spent only ecoing before even assignment happens
Phantom assignment depends on the initial prebuilt base, that´s why you thought it was later :D

Wow, never know the czar is an amazing counter to mass ASF if used correctly. Making the enemy ASF kill themselves by flying into their energy beam. Amazing

Wasn't the whole ASF getting smacked by CZAR beam thing already solved like a couple of years back?
I haven't played the game in years so what I say may not be relevant anymore but from what I remember, there was a mention about them solving the issue by giving the ASF immunity against the CZAR beam they are attacking. So I guess given it was a stack of 3 CZARs, they go hit by the other CZARs. Still surprised they didn't nerf the stacking and made the CZAR damage each other when stacked.
From what I have seen of replays yes but the czar stacking is what did it.
Something I hope they will someday mod into the game is sea-based platforms that you can build structures on.

The 1900 plays like a 500
ASF flying under the czar needs fixing, or at least make it so they don't fly though the laser when you have them just attacking the czars. If those asf had been microed he wouldn't have died there.

IMHO VIP is a bit overrated by Gyle in this replay. Even in the beginning he got the lowest eco and was more a decoy for the phantoms, than a real threat...
yeah, but he was prepared for the attack. Eco does not shoot :P
I was really surprised by VIP's early eco, it was terrible... but yeah he put up a solid defence later in the game... really he was carried by Shimras though. He was done without that help.
Ya but he was under sustained fire the entire time, and at one point both phantoms teamed up against him. Also, he was great with the Czar ASF kill and the Czar snipe in that he had a strategy in mind going in.
Both phantoms did team up on him but he had the support of Shimras who didn't get any direct attacks all game. So it was two weakened phantom navies vs a full strength innocent and a weakened innocent with a lot of static defences (shields, t2 arty batteries and HARMs). So it's not entirely surprising that they held up - just.
i thought EPIC was then GAME time was over 60 minutes ?
