    The reason for high value mov after the bridge rectifier may not be due to high voltage but due to better safety as shortening after the rectifier may be more damaging (may blow the rectifier) . We always wanted to stop the high voltage surge in the first mov alone. The second mov is to cover the failure of first mov. So the reason is not high voltage after the mov but different purpose. Please clarify if you can. Thanks.

    For example, i need a varistor that will short circuit at 25v and i will put a fuse before it.
    What value of varistor i should use without blow the varistor (only blow the fuse). Thanks

    I used 7D471 + 15 ohm for led driver 20 watt led lights panel. But it does not work and light is damaged due to very heat.
    Can I use 2 diodes with these to keep lights all cool always even long time running too ?
    Any other way to keep lights cool????? Please give me a perfect guide .tnx
