Hmmm... my local G-dub store opened 45 minutes ago. To the Dwarf Dispensary! Congratulations on your anniversary and the subscriber milestone! I can't remember when I first started watching, but I'm pretty sure it was under 5k at the time, maybe even 3k. I'm very happy to see your hard work continuing to gather a larger audience. You do a great job and are incredibly consistent. On to 20K!
Ooh what's the movie? I just bought ghost ship ( blame guerilla miniatures for mentioning it so many times.) Congrats on annivery. Me and wifey did 22 years on 1st may.
Don't know what movie it will be yet. We shall have to see. Ghost Ship has an amazing opening, but goes right off a cliff shortly afterwards! Congratulations on 22 years. We have been together 21, although only married for 16, so still a way off yet!
I recently drove to London and back to the West Country. Every single WH smiths I stopped at had two copies of this issue of white dwarf. I bought all the ones I could find because I thought I could either distribute them at my LGS or find a way of distinbuting them here (or through Mr ABNB).
Good to see the pages in your copy are warped/creased from moisture just like mine. This is the first modern White Dwarf magazine I’ve bought and the quality of the paper is extremely poor, compared with issues 100-200 that I’m most familiar with anyway. I won’t be buying another anytime soon that’s for sure! Congrats on your 18k subscribers, well deserved. I wasn’t here from the start but definitely early on, it’s nice to have seen that number grow over the past couple of years.
I tried to order White Dwarf 500 when pre-orders went live……..sold out. Can’t believe they could not foresee this edition being popular………..GW strikes again 😢
I cancelled White Dwarf before for the same reasons you did. And just like you, I've bought the copies that have had Cursed City content. :) This just in, in order to combat magazine scalping, Games Workshop raises the per issue price to 40 quid an issue!
I do have a very good copy of issue one and two. But my favourite WDs were the last issues before it became a house magazine and sadly I had a clear out during a house move. I did continue to buy WD when it just contained GW material. Notable issues were rules for Traitor Terminators in Space Hulk and articles with Advanced Hero Quest scenarios. I occasionally buy a copy these days from Morrisons of all places as I do my weekly food shop but I am usually disappointed in the content and never keep the issues like I once did. If there is something worth keeping I pull it from the magazine and file it. Its a thin file !
I love all the old articles for games like HeroQuest, Advanced Heroquest, Space Crusade and so on. I think it's still a really good magazine for people who are into the core product lines, but for me, it only occasionally has something that makes it a worthwhile read.
I've been trying to think about the expression I wanted to use, but I'm really not sure this is for anniversaries? Not a native speaker. But many happy returns! Did I do it right? 😀
"Many happy returns" is most commonly used for birthdays, but I will gladly take it and I appreciate the sentiment. Thank you very much. And thank you for always taking the time to watch and comment! (And as a dunce who really struggles with foreign languages, I think anyone who can put together a coherent sentence in multiple languages is some kind of wizard.)
It looks like scalpers swooped in and got everything they could, so I think a lot of people may have to rely on high street stores to find copies. Hopefully there are enough floating around!
All the game content is relating to currently available games. The history section is about the history of White Dwarf magazine, so it's more specifically focused than a history of Games Workshop. It highlights things like when the logos changed, when they published the first narrative battle report, when they introduced the cardboard section for the first time, and that sort of thing. The poster includes the cover from the month Quest launched, so it has the barbarian art on it, but it's not about when specific games launched.
I recommend everybody exhausts all their options at stores in their area before even thinking about the nonsense that's going on at eBay right now. I would love to see the scalpers left sitting on copies they can't sell.
Congratulations on all the success with the channel and your marriage. An evening at home is always the best nights with my wife and I just enjoying time together. Can't wait to see your videos on Dungeon Saga, I just picked up with game and it is fun.
I'm still butt-sore over Cursed City. As cool is it that I can play with Callis & Toll, I'm sitting here pointing to Hexbane's Hunters because they're pretty much perfect as a band of heroes. Still not sure why they wasted that opportunity. That's one thing that actually made Silver Tower and Shadows over Hammerhall awesome: There was no shortage of character options.
Hello! I was just driving back from London to the West Country and had to stop several times along the m4. At every single WH Smiths there were two copies of this WD. I decided that it would be best for me to buy them (not to scalp) and make sure they get into the hands of those who really need them. I can either arrange something through here (your good self Mr Never Boring) or through my LGS (Taunton Excalibur). Happy to discuss with any interested parties.
That's very thoughtful. Unfortunately, I can't facilitate the passing of private information between parties or assist in distribution. Maybe your local game store will help, or failing that perhaps you could list them on eBay with just enough on top to cover shipping.
Ha. He does a bit. Games Workshop commissioned an artist to do a traditional oil painting for this cover. Maybe he used Sutherland as a reference for the facial features.
CC content is getting to the point which merits an annual. Hopefully we’ll see that in the future. Keep up the hard work with the channel, and congrats 🎉
I am sure if they made an annual, or a small expansion with cards for all the characters they have published, people would buy it. I'm not convinced they would ever do it.
Darn, they're even scalping the White Dwarfs! Crazy.
Congrats on your milestone!
Scalpers ruining everybody's fun. I hope enough copies turn up through regular outlets that nobody has to resort to buying from them.
Nobody tosses a dwarf!
Congratulations on the subs and the anniversary. Thanks for all the great content. 🎉
I'm glad somebody picked up on it! Thank you for watching.

Wish u and wifey more best years to come

Sounds like a decent Friday night plan to me! Congrats on another well deserved milestone.
Thank you for all the support.

Thank you. Nearly time to open that wine...
I tried to order White Dwarf 500 when pre-orders went live……..sold out. Can’t believe they could not foresee this edition being popular………..GW strikes again 😢
It's ridiculous. I hope you manage to find a copy.
Congratulations on 16 years. 👍❤️. Ii remember my first White Dwarf too. Good stuff ABNB.
I didn't even really know what it was when I got that first issue. I just thought all the art and miniatures were cool.
Aww! Happy anniversary! 😊
Married for 16 years, but putting up with each other for 21, all told!
@@AlwaysBoardNeverBoring must be true love! 😍

That's the kind of forward thinking they're looking for to keep business brisk!

Congrats on 18K! Still waiting on my WD500 pre-order myself ...
At least you have one locked in so you don't need to stress about missing out. Hopefully it will turn up soon.

Congrats all around. Issue 500 sounds like a pretty good deal. If you can find it for the retail price. Scalpers are the scum of the collecting world.
Scalpers always ruin it for the people who just want to enjoy stuff.
Congratulations on the anniversary and achievement. A friend of mine that owns a comic store was lucky to get 2 copies. So tired of Games Workshop
It looks like scalpers swooped in and got everything they could, so I think a lot of people may have to rely on high street stores to find copies. Hopefully there are enough floating around!
As of 5-22 for anyone in the USA, Miniature Market has 7 in stock at regular price, plus shipping
That’s good. I hope everyone managed to find a copy at the regular price.
Hmm…did they put any content in there reference WHQ 1995? Kinda of a slap in the face to those fans, I mean this is a big part of their history.

I've just been in my local Sainsbury's and several there. No need to feed the scalpers.

Congratulations on your awesome channel! I picked up my copy at my local game store!
I'm hoping lots of copies are going to surface in the local stores so everyone who wants one can get one.
Congratulations on your anniversary! And, to a lesser extent, on the 18k subs :)
Thank you!
Congratulations to you buddy!!! Here's to many more
Thank you.
Congratulations on your anniversary. I really enjoy your content.
Thank you. Glad to hear you are enjoying the channel.

Thank you. And glad to hear you are having fun with Dungeon Sage. I was shocked how much game got crammed into such a small core box!
@@AlwaysBoardNeverBoring Wait till you get all the expansions. I picked up the KS box and it is just a mountain of plastic and game play.
I do wish they had stuck with the Hammerhal system and expanded on it, rather than changing to a completely different game system.
@@AlwaysBoardNeverBoring Yeah. And I mean, I really liked having people over to play and they could just bring 'their dude' over as a character.

Mag's already been ordered by a load of supermarkets so I do expect to see it outside ebay
Yes I am hoping enough high street stores still have copies and the scalpers are left with lots of unsold copies on their hands!
Was does the dwarf look like Donald Sutherland
Ha. He does a bit. Games Workshop commissioned an artist to do a traditional oil painting for this cover. Maybe he used Sutherland as a reference for the facial features.
Great vid and triple congratulations.
Thanks.
