Thank you SO MUCH for posting this video! I'm 41, also in NZ, and I will be getting braces fitted this year. My top infant canines never came out, and my adult canines have just grown in around them, leading to overcrowding and my teeth being in positions where they should not be. I will need to have my two infant top canines removed, which will leave gaps, and then work with an orthodontist to have my teeth moved into the correct position. I'm mostly anxious about the cost of it all. It was good to see someone else going through the process in NZ. Good luck, it's never too late!!!
Hi Chandoo.. I had braces when I was growing up pretty much similar problem that you mentioned. They do help. The thing is when you are done with the treatment the jawline which doesn't change tries to put the teeth back into the old position. Once your treatment is over try following up regular checks help you identify the issues and retainers are something that are highly recommended for lifetime. Good luck 🤞
its perfectly fine , one of the orthodontist I have consulted also got his braces in his 40s I am 22 , its been a month I got my braces . really excited how it transforms my facial appearance after braces😀😃
@@nazminbegum7738 there is a lot of improvement , protrusion is completely gone and yes my side profile is slightly improved . I am satisfied with my treatment
Congratulations! I hope you realize that taking care of yourself at any age is a great thing. I'm your age and I'm getting braces on monday. It took me a couple of days to even call my orthodontist to get started as I kept thinking I was too old and would look silly. So I watched a few videos of "older" people getting then and they all said it was one of the best decisions they have made. Good luck with your adult braces adventure!
Thank you and wish you all the best with your Braces on Monday. My tip: eat some of your fav foods this weekend as the first few weeks after braces are hard for eating anything.
Thank you very much for making a blog video.I expect more of it from your side about your personal life it will keep motivating us to follow you strictly and consistently.
I'm 59 and I'm almost done with my adjustments. I had braces when I was younger, but this time around I used the plastic trays that can pop off and be changed every week. Way less painful as the adjustments are smaller and more often, but you cannot eat when the trays are in. You need to wear the trays at least twenty hours a day and preferably twenty-two, so it's they are like a food chastity belt on your teeth. Good luck.
@@5pctLowBattery 3M Clarity. Basically the same thing. I'm almost done with them. I will be so happy in fourteen weeks when I can stop wearing them all the time. I'll be even happier in 26 weeks when I'm done paying them.
Bro im telling you, you will NOT regret it. There might be days where you royally hate them, days where you wana rip them out...but trust me. Its 100% worth it. Great choice!
It's really important to correct bite so you've definitely done the right thing for yourself. My younger daughter is congenitally absent half of her adult teeth so she had braces from 8 years to 12 years. Her bottom teeth needed to be moved forward to encourage the lower jaw to grow and move her top teeth closer together as well. She looks like she has a normal amount of teeth now. It's just amazing what orthodontists can do. You won't regret your decision. I didn't realise you lived in NZ - I'm just across the ditch in Sydney, Australia.
It is really good for you, glad you have done it, I just could not find a youtube list to save the video, so I saved it in BI CONSULTING category!!!! 😊😅😅
I started watching you when I myself had my braces put on. Ever since I wanted to put braces on you 😂I am sure you will be happy with a result, it indeed will change your life for good,as it was with me.cheers🎉
Congrats for the courage, Chandoo! Have my fingers crossed the treatment to does smooth. 👍 BTW, 5 day ago I also get braces...and I am a bit older than you (49y). 😉
Congrats - I'm actually a 41-YO who has braces for the second time - I originally got them in my teens but they didn't quite get the job done. I actually still have to have jaw surgery before I'm officially done so be glad you don't have to do that lol
How are you braces going? I am 39, will be 40 in May and I am considering braces. My top teeth are out further than the bottom, have a few crooked, and of course only my front incisors touch when I smile and show my teeth if I try to set them on top of each other. I keep going back and forth on this, but your video is giving me more confidence to go ahead and do it. Thank you.
Congratulations! I could tell the change on your jawline and the way you speak. I’m happy for you! Could you also, if you choose to, tell us what do you use to whiten your teeth? Thank for the video and please keep us posted.
Thanks Ramon. I don't use anything in particular. Just brushing and flossing. I do get them cleaned once or twice per year though. I also don't drink much (almost no wine).
Chandoo G, it would be great if you consider making a video to talk about key terminologies of stats like weights, quantiles, standard deviation, etc., and how to perform calculations around these terminologies in Excel. I am sure it would be a huge help for many of us

Brilliant Chandoo! I got braces mid 30s and it was great. I was more mature and could better follow the rules. Also, I could afford better looking braces and the technology had improved meaing less discomfort.
I'm really happy to see that you're taking care of yourself! 100% it's never too late to get braces.

The doctor suggested having retainers for rest of the life after the treatment is done.

Great 👍😄
how increase data load rows limit from 4000 to 10 lakhs in power bi
How long will last? I heard that after a time it can happen that the teeth will again go to their former position.
I hope long enough. But the Dr. also suggested that I wear retainers once the treatment is over so that my teeth stay in their new position.
Can we use elastics at the age of 48 to correct over bite
Check with your dentist. I had a reasonably good result thanks to my braces procedure.
🥰 good 👍.
Why so expensive!?
why didn't you choose a solution like Invisalign or wasn't it applicable?
Invis wasn't option as my overbite is too large.
I got braces after using excel clean function...... Colgate Smile 😁
That is a good one :)
You can come to india Chandoo and get them in Rs. 20000 and Go back. Still you might be saving 1 Lac on that.
You need to adjust them every month. So it is not possible to do it like that.
