Used to go to Bali every year til I discovered Siargao in 2019. It's so much more beautiful than Bali and there's way less traffic. Similar vibe but better nature and people haha

Stop overhyping it,,surfers who frequented uluwatu Bali will disappointed big time when they found out how waves like cloud9, quicksilver, or jacking horse compare to padang-padang, impossible, racetrack and bombie in uluwatu. Not in the same league tbh.

Siargao always been my favorite. The untouched beach and the cozy vibe was pretty awesome and theres alot of local and foreigners living in there..tryna take care the island most especially tryna promot the eco friendly island by not using single used plastics that cause alot litter.. Kids were picking up trash on the beach.. That's awesome.. Can't wait to go back really soon. ❤
As a local native Surigaonon there are a lot of hidden untouched islets and islands in Surigao where only few people discover .

If I was not injured I would be traveling to Siargao, my goal is to visit every year but life has another twisted turn so I can't for now. I wish I could walk again so I can go back to my favorite island SIARGAO.

My worry is that someday siargao is fully westernized, and the Filipino culture is wipped out.
Based on my observation Filipinos are very welcoming and very accepting to the point that they are changed and forget their Filipino traits.
I hope Filipinos in Siargao will keep their heritage and culture.
And protect their environment at all costs
It's never going to be fully westernized. It'll be similar to Boracay, it'll get trashed for profit.

Glad you enjoyed Siargao. Its vibe is different from other popular tourist destinations here in Ph. Its hip, cool and chic. I felt it is a combo of Palawan and Boracay. It is my dream to Go there some day
Yes, it has sari sari stores like Boracay and Palawan.
Boracay and Palawan are beautiful, no doubt but the community and vibe just isn't the same as in Siargao@@eduardochavacano
