So Warren Buffett just filed 3 new Form 4’s with the SEC, for 9 straight trading days, he’s been acquiring millions of shares in one particular stock. A total of a little over $400 Million, invested into a company he already owns a large piece of, Occidental Petroleum. I finally started a position in this. If you look at the debt reduction, share buybacks, potential for oil prices and opportunities in untappable reserves and carbon capture, there seems to be a of lot of ways to win here.
I am thinking of doing the same. Right now my portfolio is heavily weighted with MSFT and AMZN. And a med company ICU. I also have PH. And MSCI.
Hamish, please look further into the negative oil prices of April 2020. These were all financial buyers/traders that were caught with their pants down. As you know, the financial market for oil is at times 30 to 50x larger than the physical market for oil. This was a case of the tail wagging the dog...

Why do you believe that the price of oil is going to go higher? If we have some sort of black swan events it could but that will only be temporary. We are likely already in a recession which is very bad for oil and we know inflation is going to go a lot higher again.

Just a little feedback on the video from a first time watcher. Really found the video clunky and it was clear you were pushing the advertisement of stockopaedia throughout. I understand this is your income but maybe try to make it a little more subtle? Found it incredibly obvious you were taking points of thought just so you could link it back to the video and your ad. I didn’t really enjoy the video overall, I wouldn’t be inclined to click on your profile and continue watching other videos, as I would other thoughtful videos with subtle ads within.
As an investor I’m sure you can appreciate having a long term and compounding point of view and not chasing short term gains (really pushing ads to increase your personal revenue)
