Marty You seem to have captured Pelicans ear with your mod’s ! It’s nice to see that a manufacturer will listen to an end user that has great ides like yourself. My next yak will be a Pelican for sure. Keep it up 👍🏼
I am glad to see the old Marty re-emerging from the fiasco called the "Big Circle Jerk". LOL Pelican seems to have been good to you, and I really like their products, and your mods. You and a few others started the Kayak interest nationwide, but most YTubeers fell off. Keep the interest and fun coming Marty. And thanks for encoraging an old man to do something usefull, and fun.
Lol would not be a Marty’s video without promise of drilling holes in kayak. I think it is really cool that they incorporated your trolling motor mount and your reverse seat platform ideas. So cool to have actual kayaker have input into the design process!
*We’ve only used it a couple of times **enjoyable.fishing** recommend but it was great! Easy to inflate and deflate, perfect for the 2 of us and our pup.*
Holy pompano..Pelican is listening...they actually are listening to what kayak fishermen and women want...its beautiful...and less than half of the native and old Towne yaks...with hubbys medical bills mounting each month ...it gives me hope without guilt I can pay for this dream...wow just wow🥰😍🤩I love it so much
I love my Catch 120, and I'm super pleased to see Pelican not only continue the Catch line, but expand it, as well. It's also great to see Pelican respond to the ideas, needs, and suggestions of their customers and fans in ways like incorporating mods and upgrades that so many of us make to our kayaks...Maybe they just needed Marty to come along to give it that 'factory done' look! Stay safe!
My first time Kayaking and this Kayak held strong. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx4k5UrhC3v_Y4hIEaXLGvHcN5a5aBmZNB The water got pretty rough as a speed boat zipped by me, and the Kayak withstood it (I expected to be capsized). The Ores are very easy to put together, the pump worked beautifully. the seats are a bit hard to sit in after a while (I recommend sitting on the floor). after reading the reviews I was very scared it'd get a hole in it, the material is very strong and durable. The Air valve may need a small Phillips head screwdriver to adjust, other than that, it's well worth the money!(update)I've gone Kayaking in 3 Lakes and 2 rivers totaling about 40 miles. the kayak had two holes and they patched easily and no other problems can't wait for kayaking season this year!
I had a Catch 100 and loved the rod holders on it. You won't realize how much you like them until you get on a kayak that don't have that type of rod holders and placement on it imo.
Nice update on the mode 110 Marty. Great to have the option of a transom mount for a trolling motor or an outboard, but looks a bit of a stretch from the seat. Stay safe & well. 👍👍
I think this new Mode 110 is great, and you’re right, the price is very reasonable for a yak of that quality with so many features. I just bought two Pelicans though, one for me and one for my wife. She got the Ultimate 100NTX and I got the Ultimate 120. Neither one is as fancy as that Mode 110, but give me some time and they will be. Let the mods begin!
Nice...good review Marty...I've got my new $3000 pedal drive,...but still kept my lil pelican paddle yak, ...it's just so light and easy to throw in the back of the truck...it paddles great,..I still love to just go paddle some times ...and it has proven it's so tough.....near industructable...!
Love that pelican is making different and new fishing platforms. The kayak industry is getting so very over priced. It’s nice to see a good brand make a reasonable product to get out on the water
awesome walkthrough marty!!! I wish they would change the design in how you strap the seat down, the middle strap and cam buckle can be annoying. I like they designed the kayak with a skeg, so far i seen pelican making major improvements over the years. Their catch series has been a success. great video as always marty! 🤙👍
Mr. Mary I wish that could live next door to you to learn everything about kayak and repairing also upscale nor additional equipment to be added on. My Pelican hdrii 110 nothing but a hassle and weight a ton every fishing trips I worn out from loading and unloading this Beast in and out 😢. I watch all the channels and try to learn from it but still not adapted your logical except screwing everything up 😂
Marty my friend and I and our families were out on his bow rider yesterday to watch the blarney island boat races. We went out to the sandbar first and did some swimming. It was fun. But a lot of people out there have these roll up foam mats for the kids to jump off, they sell them at sams club for $850. So my buddy is a truck driver but I'm very handy so he's asking me to build some kind of foldable or inflatable swim platform, maybe also called an inflatable island. I have a handful of ideas, but I've looked around RUclips and can't really find anything cool. I did see a picture in a Google search that was on pinterest. I couldn't open it without an account. But there is a big demand for these types of things and nobody on RUclips building something like it. Just a thought, design and build a really cool one I bet you get a million views because nobody else at your level has done it, and it seems right up your alley from my perspective. Another idea would be a floating chair like the pool ones where you're half submerged, with accessories like Bluetooth speaker, drybox, 4-6 can cooler, and maybe a low power electric drive for the party cove or sandbar. Just a thought, only trying to help. It would probably need nav lights if it has a motor and you'd need a life jacket and a flare and a horn, idk if you need throwables if you're alone, and probably a registration. Out here on the water Johnny Law only messes with you if you aren't in compliance or you're being a complete idiot, but if you do get pulled over they check all that stuff and count your life vests and passengers. I appreciate you Marty. Thank you for sharing your skills knowledge and experience
Hey Marty thank you for the amazing videos with so much value. Does the ergo boost seat also fit in the catch 110 HDii? I’m thinking about fitting it on there for the added comfort
Overall, this looks like a great fishing platform. Looking forward to on the water tests. Probably won't be a speedy boat. Loks stable though. Maybe it's the camera perspective but, looks like the scupper holes are not the lowest points on the deck. I like decks that have channels leading to the scuppers. NuCanoe do that really well. Although the skeg will flip up on its own if hitting something, it would be good to have a way to raise and lower it from the seat. Marty will figure that one out in a heart beat...
Funny story… got my buddy to go out and get a new yak, he grabbed a catch 100 at dunhams sporting goods. I went in on my day off and they only had the one he put on layaway and it said sold. An employee approached me and asked if he could help and I told em well I really want this catch 100 but my buddy bought this one , earlier in the day I was talking to my buddy and I told em oh don’t worry I’ll find one I’m feeling lucky. So the employee says sorry but we’re sold out of those but actually today might be your lucky day I’m unloading 40 yaks off the truck right now let me go see if one came in with the shipment. He came back and said come on to the back with me I got one.it was all wrapped in plastic and I said yup I’ll take it. And he handed me a tag said just check out up front and I was waiting in line and I read the tag only to realize it wasn’t the catch 100 it was the catch mode 110 . Lol little bit more expensive(789.99)then the 100(629.99) but I surfed the internet while waiting in line and found a 17% off and the total ended up being $655 and some change. Can’t wait to get this bad boy out on the water. Keep up the good work on ur channel sir.
My uncle fell off of a kayak in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico, presumed to have drowned but, the kayak was recovered & 100 pounds of fried chicken was found on board. It was given to my family & everyone had a nice lunch. 🐔 🍗👍
Can't wait to see the modifications but would definitely wanna see the before after on how it is on the water also... trying to play catch up with the kayak business. Are there any updates to what's going on w you. Not for sure if I missed any videos
It doesn't have the ripples under the neoprene deck it seems? After a few seasons the padding has worn on my original Catch 100, and the ripples underneath can become a bit uncomfortable bare foot if I'm standing a lot. I like this change.
the major thing i didnt like about the catch 120 was the hump in front of the seat. This is perfect light for on the fly and roomy. I will have one for my trips to cockroach bay!
I enjoy your videos. I'm in the market for a fishing kayak. In your opinion, is this one of the best for under 1000 dollars? Which others would you consider?
Thank you for the vid. If I may ask, would you please consider a video that could focus on mods that would help old folks get up , down, and get around. I just got my C. M. 110 and I don't want to get wet.😅
Tell us how it compares to different model for stability? I had the catch 100 and didn’t like it one bit 😒 not stable for standing 😩. Still looking for the perfect fishing platform 🤔
I just got a catch 120. I like this design but it doesn't have any hatches. I think a small one on the back wall of the rear hatch would be nice to be able to run wires.
Great video as always Marty. You and Pelican have been together for years now. Yes we all know your going to break out the drill motor for your much anticipated Z mods. That's it manufacture a limited run Z model, featuring some of your mods. See if they sell well. Pelican makes some really great quality kayaks already. But a kayak designed by a top fisherman for fishermen, would very likely have a chance for a foothold in the kayak market. Oh, that motor mount, looks a bit light weight for an outboard motor. How long would it hold up to say 5 - 8 HP outboard. Hopefully 2 stroke to keep weight down. Lol. 73 Earnest K5EWM. GOD bless.
Sorry Marty, but I am so messed up on what you are doing now. All of these Great Loop clips? Are you still on that chase???? Or are you back in FL, doing what you love??? THOSE are the clips that I’m hoping to see, your builds, your fishing, doing the things you love. The Loop was always Mike’s “big challenge”, you were along for the ride. Maybe not??? Sure is how it seemed. Whatever, just want to see you enjoying life again, with the doggies. Loved it…..and after visiting my sis in Venice, loved it too!!!!!
I am a long time subscriber and avid fan of your videos. I have gotten to old and fat for a kayak. I am using a bass raider 10e now. With all your genius in modification can you please figure a way to use oar/oar locks on the 10e.
Hi Marty, sorry I haven't been following you for some time, how're you, did you finish the great loop?, are yo now on a camper?, not returning to the kayak rent business? Hope everything is well and healthy in your life and your dogs too.

Sold!!! Bought mine yesterday!!! Thanks for the walk thru!!!
It’s about time for new kayak upload.👍👍👍

I've loved all the catch designs. This one is my top favorite so far. Easy to drop in the water and go. Very good review from you like always.
I want one, and will be waiting for the promo code. I am really happy you are doing well and back in Florida.
Thanks for your videos Mr. Zoffinger. I just purchased a catch mode 110, Transom mount and a mercury 3.5 outboard. Cant wait for ice to go!
I love your channel Marty nice to see you.
Really like the new boat! When can we expect to see them and where? Thanks for the great intro.
This one is limited edition...they made only one...
Have some for sale near me in west central wisconsin! Very close to buying one lol
just picked up my pelican mode 110 ! I am SO excited for this weekend! i am 5'11 205 pounds and hauling it on the roof of my chevy cruze
Hey Marty , you don't have to say it , we all know you are going to make "some holes" to this one. Ready to see the new modes you are going to add.
Can’t wait to see your mods and on water review.
I've been watching you for a long time. I'm happy to see your success. Cheers.
I had a Catch 100 and loved the rod holders on it. You won't realize how much you like them until you get on a kayak that don't have that type of rod holders and placement on it imo.

With all you do, I can't believe that you don't play an instrument. You would be great at it. God speed.
As usual awesome video this is the best kayak channel for information you are very well with your knowledge

I'm noticing now that you don't respond to comments. No worries. I appreciate you
Nice boat! Great design!
Nice rig from the factory!
I have always appreciated the light weight of Pelicans!
I just ordered one from pelican can't wait.
Looks like a great kayak, thanks!
I seen this an loved the whole design of it I can't wait to get it
Tanks for your time and your videos tanks
I'm about to go try my mode 110 out here in just a few and bout to do fishing 🤙🏼
Just bought this boat today.. I’m so excited to get where my big boat can’t go
We’re did you buy it
Hey Marty thank you for the amazing videos with so much value. Does the ergo boost seat also fit in the catch 110 HDii? I’m thinking about fitting it on there for the added comfort

Just bought one ! Waiting for the delivery

Nice looking kayak only thing I seen that I would change is longer tracks for my fishing things but at that price can't really complain
Multi seat positioning along with the other great features perks my interest even though I don't really need one.
Thank you for the vid. If I may ask, would you please consider a video that could focus on mods that would help old folks get up , down, and get around. I just got my C. M. 110 and I don't want to get wet.😅

Hey Marty, really curious if that seat will fit on the 130HD!
Looks like a new design .

man, that things pretty sweet.
Man I love to know when and where we can get these I really like it

What are the rubber flaps near the front?
have this yak and love it, just not sure what these do
Never mind you covered it lol

Thanks for the info 👍
Hey how wide is the tunnel width, I'm building a trailer and going to use a big center board.
NO Beer, thank goodness !!! Another Outstanding Marty review !!
I'm now considering this boat for my little Venice Florida Retirement Adventures
Nice looking Kayak. It wouldn`t be Marty if he didn`t DIY on a Kayak enjoyed it
There is no handle in the back which makes it awkward for 2 people to carry. Minor inconvenience for a super kayak.
I wish Pelican offered a rudder like that to fit the catch100.
I want this kayak 😮perfect for me 😎
A warning. Don't use the rudder mount as a handle. It will break. Before I could put mine in the water, I was repairing it. Thank you for the video.
I was wondering if u are going to try a 2.5hp motor on it
Hi Marty, sorry I haven't been following you for some time, how're you, did you finish the great loop?, are yo now on a camper?, not returning to the kayak rent business? Hope everything is well and healthy in your life and your dogs too.
Mine has no rear carry handle. Is it supposed to?? Don't know where it would go
Lifting it aside, Is it too big to travel in a J bracket on top of a 4Runner SUV?
very nice i want one to
Hey Marty, Quick question. Just bought one recently. What paddle length would you highly recommend for this model?
[Side note: I'm 5' 7'']
Awesome!
Should definitely be called the MZ. Thanks
Hey where's your dock at wanna come and rent some kayaks when I'm down in Florida.
might get one myself
Kool kayak
I can not find these anywhere to buy besides the pelican website and it says only available in Canada. Any clue on how to get one?
Sharp boat for a great price! I couldn’t find out much on it so far, anyone know the total weight capacity?
Nice!
This is how you should do a review
Hey Marty so moved to a Tampa and I’ve been watching you since your earliest days. Need to figure out how to get to be a Patreon subscriber. Love to come by and maybe get a kayak ride in with you..
I also would like to ask you some thoughts on a modification for a trailer for travel around the US for doing handiwork. Something tells me you and I think a lot alike and stuff as I watch how you come up with ideas and would really love to have a beer with you and chat. Let me know what’s the best way to reach out to you. My name is Al
I purchased this model roughly a month ago after owning multiple other kayaks to include a hobie and an old Towne. This Pelican is absolute trash, the windage throws me all over the place with anything more than 5 mph winds. The flao on the back to help with sway doesn't do virtually anything. The bungies are extremely cheap and have all broken. The base is shifted to the left (manufacture defect) I've seen alot of forums complain about this and wish I would have seen it before purchasing. Complete waste of $900. I've got around 9 years of kayaking and this is just trash.
Can you buy this in the USA and where?
Did you receive a promo code yet?
Weight limit is prob 250 but maybe 275
Great review wish my big butt could fit I need one rated 350 I’m 290 so this one is just a dream to me
So whats the weight limit.
