I remember when I was in the hospital, my wife was in another hospital. I was down with emphysema, she was stage four cancer. I needed a chaplain on a regular basis. The hospital I was in did not have one on staff, but there was some pastors and or their wives that came in from churches in the town. I was really happy to see one of them, a young lady, very young, yet a very wise woman that was married to a pastor in the town. She helped me tremendously, it just did a lot of good for someone to be there to help me with my faith for the situation that I was in. You never know how much good that you do really for people. I never met the lady in person again, although I did meet her husband. She is always out of country doing missionary work, so I never met her yet, it's been over ten months since she helped me. I thank God for chaplains, a hospital situation like that, they play a vital role for the health and well being of patients.
I learned this daily routine from the video: Wake up at 5:30, prepare for the day Arrive at hospital at 7:30, do devotions with the staff Then go to the computer and see what patients are available. First visit the patients who haven't had chaplains visit yet Pray with the patients and their families Sometimes educate declining patients on what chaplains do
You don't need a degree when you have God! He will bless you, ask Him for clarity and where to go, He will lead you to those resources on your path to follow Him!

SO JOHN ARE YOU SAYING CANCER IS A GOOD THING OH YES I BELIEVE IN LOVE BUT NOT GOD AS I CAN SEE AND FEEL LOVE WHICH EXISTS GOD DOES NOT YOU CALL LOVE GOD TO JUSTIFY YOUR HATE OF PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT RELIGIOUS BUT GOD IS NOT LOVE LOVE IS LOVE
ANDREW WILKINSON It seems like you have a lot of anger towards God. I didn't say any of what you just said. Sin gives birth to death, no matter what that looks like. We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and though there is forgiveness found in Jesus Christ for our souls, are flesh must still pass away to return to the fullness of the spirit. God is love, because He sacrificed HIMSELF in order to make a way for us ALL to be forgiven. That is the love of God, love sacrifices for the sake of good. I don't hate anyone who is not a Christian, and I don't judge them for not being one, but you are right in saying that there are "religious people" that do, but you should not be despaired by those people for God will hold them accountable for their judgements. Seek God for your own sake, and wait upon Him to answer while you seek the truth.
Death, sickness, strife and suffering are all results of corruption due to sin. It is our fault these exist, not God's. We live in a fallen world that will one day be raised up into perfection with Christ. God is love, and we would not know how to define love if not for Him. Christ revealed to humanity what love (thereby also what God) truly is 2018 years ago.
ANDREW WILKINSON : Do you want to be forced to do everything? God never forces. That’s why he gave us free-will, free-agency. We are here to learn. We can’t learn in a perfect environment. We need adversity and illness to learn and grow.
Why be a chaplain when you can ditch the theological mumbo jumbo and actually help all people come to terms with their end-of-life care. If a chaplain ever comes to my room when I'm dying, he better be ready for wrath. Why would I want to spend my last moments with someone who believes in superstitious nonsense?
This is my call....I feel it🕊

Remember this comment when you're facing death.
you may not personally want that, and that is okay, but a lot of people really benefit from this
Jesus is real & he’s God. May he bless you & soften your heart
You don’t need to be religious to be a chaplain they can just be really positive people encouraging you to keep faith
