Excellent product and service from maxi. For the naive commentators the Opal HD is an adapted version of the Opal for children post hip surgery that are in plaster. It cannot be purchased on the open market, it is available to borrow whilst the child goes through treatment. A mainstream seat won’t accommodate the posture of a spica cast. Shame other manufactures can’t contribute to the thousands of little ones with DDH treatments. Well done maxi x
My son is currently in a pavik harness I’m really interested in purchasing this car seat. I have not been able to find any for sale in the US. Any suggestions on who sells this in the us?
poor video maxi cosi you yourselfs should be setting a example of good carseat safety the harness was adjusted inadequately with the shoulder straps not even on the child
@Andre Bezo@ the same opinion, but... I bought it already. Seatbelts are too lose! That is not the way how child should be secured. This car seat is perfect but for children above 9 kg!
You can’t buy it. Its provided specially by Maxi On loan. It’s an adapted version of an Opal seat for babies and children in a spica cast. Well done maxi for catering for children needing a suitable seat for their casts.
@@hlumeya you can’t. Argos and other retailers sell the Maxi-Cosy Opal. This seat is the Maxi Cosy Opal HD The HD literally means Hip Dysplasia which is a condition often requiring and adapted car seat for little ones in a brace or plaster. I’ve spoken to maxi personally and you cannot buy the adapted version. We have taken one on hire from them.
@@hlumeya the child in the video is wearing a Rhino Brace, the you can clearly see that this version of the Opal has a flat base and no side impact protection around the legs.(The normal Opal does have the side bits) It’s adapted like this as the child’s legs are locked in a frog position.
I'm shocked too. I thought it looked pretty good and the video from kiddiecare is a thousand times better. I'm not happy about the comments here.... Back to the drawing board. I think britax...
