One thing I recommend taking a look at is the singleplayer. Out of many games, the AI are smart. First of all, they can hear and react to the sounds, even footsteps! Second When they loose sight of you they aren't too simple, they do remember you went that way and either attempt to follow or throw nades but get this, say you are sniping from a window, when they spot you and try to shoot you they even do suppressing fire. If you hide into cover, the continue firing for a few second and have bits of gaps inbetweenfire to trick you into peeking so they can hit you. Another thing is, if you and an enemy bot are basically alone and your back is turned, expect to be stabbed in the back silently. Next, friendly bots, if you play as an officer and request a radio, a radio guy will come BUT if you request backup, a squad of guys will follow you for a brief amount of time to support you. If bots are in cover like a small wall and they get shot at, they will duck to cover, if the wall is too short, they will go prone. I have gotta hand it to them, their bots though not perfect, are fantastic. Now there are two bot difficulties, infantry and commando, at first commando feels like unfair bots, but over time you get used to it, I play single player often and I can easily say commando difficulty adds to the immersion, they are challenging enough to not make it feel like it's just a bullshit ai. The only problems I have is the specifically when the officer called artillery, he is more likely to target you like 80% If you enter a room without looking to you side, expect some sour kraut, tea sippin wank, or Yankee to come charging at you with a bayonet. If they are not using rifle, expect them to shank ya.

So I read an old review and it mentioned monthly credit card issues. Is there a subscription?! I’d like to buy it on Steam now for $7.99 but not for a monthly fee.
"Realistic": the only thing somewhat realistic in this game is the fact that you die easily. There is neither bullet drop / travel time, nor historically accurate equipment and units (you can use a MG42 in a 1940 battle and so on). This is a fun game but there is no reason to falsely call it "realistic".
At these ranges, bullet drop would be pretty negligible anyhow. But it doesn't have an arcade feel to it and thankfully it's not as crunchy as some games I've played (the Ghost Recon games come to my mind)
This game was the last gift from my ex-girlfriend, and its one of my most played steam games ever! I love it, and I'm one of those who see this as the spiritual successor to DOD:S which I raped back in the day.
idk why people don't play this game now. My reason is lack of players if this game have a 1K+ player base i will reinstall it tbh i'm reinstalling it right now
The explosions are realistic. You realize the effective death radius from a 105 mm round is 200 to 400 meters right? Also, you can not see into spawn, you can see into maybe one spawn exit per map. Maybe don't use those exits? Every spawn on every map has 4 exits

Are the devs still working on improving this game?
No unfortunately not
got me to reinstall this! cant wait to be blown up by artillery over and over while desperately trying to make it up the beach on dog red. no other game on the market does ww2 the justice this game does. i've seen footage of hell let loose and it looks promising but for me the smaller maps and gun play of doi is unbeatable.
Good stuff! Enjoy it. Yeah I like them both, DoI is definitely faster-paced which is enjoyable.
Tbh the only way to boost player count in the game is by making this game free
And here I thought you were saying japans attack on pearl harbor was perfect 😂 you scared me
Demobottle gaming
And to be honest, I Hope NWI never touches this game again, if you seen the state of Sandstorm you know what I mean
I hate that this game is fast paced a lot, you can’t react that you’re getting killed as soon as you spawn
flamethrower is the best thing about this game
Love the gameplay but hate the sound design
Dude my fps is about a 25 or even 20 on ultra low
Jfc what are your specs
@@doctormantistoboggan2339 amd Athlon 2 x2 nvidia geforce 7025 nforce 630a 1gb
@@bedrylo3529 those are horrible specs, upgrade your setup ASAP lmao
Very great game but noobs cry to much, not for casual players.
Day of Infamy is Battlefield 1942 2.0!
Not even close, there is no 1942 nowhere.. EA have to remaster that masterpiece
@@thisisfaka EA/DICE won't remaster the game sadly, so now we must depend on the fans as a fan mod to make their own version of Battlefield 1942 remastered edition.
@@mcmike89 it would be awesome that game had endless gameplay, sometimes I want to download the og and play
@@thisisfaka Too bad the Origin version doesn’t include the 2 expansion packs, Secret Weapons of WWII and Road to Rome respectively. Only the base game itself.
@@mcmike89 they care only about the latest games sadly
great ww2 game,
Unfortunately, game is dead now
Bringing it back repopulating servers
I bought the game but it wouldn't launch lol
Oh no. Any idea why?
@@MB93 Nah i aint got no clue
@@neonic252V annoying. Hope it was cheap or were you able to get a refund?
@@MB93 Yeah I got a refund. It's a shame tho I really wanted to try it out
@@neonic252 Cool. Yeah that is a shame
too bad new world interactive just took the mod, made it commercial and dropped support immediately, so balancing wont ever happen. this is why the playerbase died.
So I read an old review and it mentioned monthly credit card issues. Is there a subscription?! I’d like to buy it on Steam now for $7.99 but not for a monthly fee.
There's no subscription just not that many people playing these days unfortunately
all the ww2 fans are playing Hell Let Loose rn / kinda sucks as I think Post Scriptum and DOI are much better
Pretty realistic look to it imo. Fair enough about the balistics.
At these ranges, bullet drop would be pretty negligible anyhow. But it doesn't have an arcade feel to it and thankfully it's not as crunchy as some games I've played (the Ghost Recon games come to my mind)
@@HeadHunterSix Bullet drop indeed but travel time is still a problem for me at least, considering it is a 2017 game.
They ain’t a single alive server NA
This game was the last gift from my ex-girlfriend, and its one of my most played steam games ever!
I love it, and I'm one of those who see this as the spiritual successor to DOD:S which I raped back in the day.
They advertise this game once every two years or so... that's why. So, lame
They lost the vibe of the mod they based it off of which ruined it for me
Best is Pistole and knife aint useledd
idk why people don't play this game now.
