      i use general's charcoal for the hair...and i use acrylex matt fixative for finishing

    It's fascinating watching you draw! I aspire to draw like that too. I'm wondering, do you use any burnishing tools for human hair? I've seen some people using burnishing tools for animal hair/fur. Obviously you didn't use a burnishing tool on his hair, but have you on other pieces? Again, great video and thank you for sharing with us!

    Truly amazing work! Thanks for sharing it and your techniques. It helps me to learn a lot from you, though I could never be half as good. I do have one question...what is that piece of wood looking object to the right of your drawing and what is it doing there? Is it serving a purpose? I had to ask though I probably missed something, in which case I apologize.

    My question is, after using the graphite powder for the first layer, why do you use charcoal pencil over it instead of Charcoal powder. And also would suggest using just charcoal powder for everything ?
