This is such a crucial piece of the Nasuverse, man. It literally is the foundation for so much. This should be the entry point for all Fate newbies.
It will be for me in terms of my first visual novel. I always found the magic system in fate extremely interesting probably my top 3 magic systems in fiction period.
The entry point is fate stay night. There is absolutely no reason to even try to do stuff in chronological order. You follow release order and you understand just right.

I love the duality of the aozaki sisters; Touko creates things: mystic codes, puppets, automata, spells, etc. Aoko destroys things, her circuits (burning), her sister's cup (I think that's one thing she broke from the VN), her sister's toys, she bullies Soujiro, and she literally possesses the magecraft of destruction!
Actually Touko was the one who used to steal and break Aoko's things. I recently reread the scene where that is mentioned.
Both would go on to assist a Shiki who possessed the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception
Thank God. I've been fed up with Grand Order for a long time now. Let's go back to the actual Mystic Roots!!
I'm playing the visual novel and man...¡It's so good! The attention to detail is amazing, really waiting for this movie
You know what insane, is that aoko is weaker in holy night than in melty/tsukihime. Because this is young aoko, she doesn't have a lot of experience or knowledge yet. And in melty, we get to see a little older aoko just casually boxing with dead apostles and arc not wanting to fight her in tsukihime. So just imagine what we see if aoko ever is in fgo, that would be awesome and she would be even stronger then she was in melty/tsukihime. But I'm hype about this movie. And people seeing the last type moon protagonist (I'm not counting angel notes, because almost no one knows it. but I do hope we get to see more of gun god eventually. Whether that be in fgo or somewhere else.)

As someone who has only heard vague descriptions of Mahoyo I am genuinely looking forward to this. Having started all the way back in the CRT monitor times with Aoko randomly popping up in front of young Shiki in her dripless white t-shirt and blue jeans to dispense magical eyewear I've always been curious what her deal was. There was almost a Tom Bombadil-esque quality to her, as in someone of fantastic powers that the story treated as a brief cameo to suggest to the reader this world's much bigger than what you see of it.
Then there were years where I knew Mahoyo was a thing but with it being Japan-only I mentally wrote off ever experiencing it, and now Ironically just as one came out I haven't had the time to get to it while it takes space in my harddrive.
This will be the first visual novel ill play. Just realized it was on ps5.

Definitely want to read it first, but this is for sure something for me to look forward to. Aoko is one of my favorite characters in the verse after all.
After I’m done with the fate series of course I will be checking out witch of the holy on steam and I am looking forward to it. I might end up loving aoko since she reminds me a lot of Rin toys aka my favourite Fate Character. But I am hyped for this new movie

Dude I have to know Is Caledfwich a sword that was given to King Arthur was it actually Calebolg?! Because I remember The Agartha singularity in which Younger Fergus said”CALEDFWICH CALADBOLG” and I just had to ask did the celts give Caledbolg to King Arthur
My one true issue with the WOHN is how they handle Shizuki by the end. When he beats Beo you expect to get a better understanding of his upbringing, strength and background, but its left vague by the end and you are assuming that is more than a regular human, but never getting the true details (I kinda wanted something like Garden of Sinners Epilogue in terms of truly understanding Shizuki and his strength/ background). The only other thing (this is a nitpic) is the in the 2nd of the novel after chapter 5 a couple of the slice of life moments should have been extra chapters vs in the main story as it kinda killed the momentum of the story (specifically the studying section to slowly build up the idea on how to get Alice not to yeet him). The ending was dope, but essentially what I want now is a spinoff with Touko to see her after WOHN to Garden of Sinners and we see what she is like in GoS.
the thing was that the story was planned to be a trilogy of VNs. Its heavily hinted through the end and extra chapters many potential elements that the followup stories would tackle primarely Riddell and her relation with Alice and the situation of the Meinster family. But because of Tsukihime remake and FGO Nasu just hasnt gotten the chance to write it.
also no i definetly disagree on the Shizuki and Alice bonding being pushed to extra when its clear the relationship of the 3 characters is the main focus of the story. The plot is a suplement to develop their relationship and their character developments, How they influence each other and the changes in their lives. Soujuurou absolutely changes how Alice lives like and it should be a major focus on the story it cant be an extra. The small moments is what adds the most to the characters and the studying section is like the talk between Shizuki and Tobimaru about Aoko and how he feels about her, its the same for the study and alice and how Soujuurou personally feels about how to handle the situation.
As long as we get content nobody will be rioting, complain yes but no riots

Teaser was beautiful, my only complaint right now is I just wish Ufo captured Koyama’s artsyle for the characters a little better.
Fr tho, Hirokazu Koyama is one of my favorite artists along with pako and WADARCO.
Personal favorite servants they made:
Koyama drew all variants of Scathach, Musashi and Romulus in FGO, Pako with Arjuna/Karna/Nobus and all of WADARCO's FGO and Fate/Extella designs

Ok thing I'm confused about and a debate that I'm trying to understand. Knights of the round table vs Shinsengumi, the knights of the round table would win which I get. Then someone mention what if this took place in japan where the Shinsengumi would get a power up like Vlad in apocrypha and it allowed him to face Karna. I understand that they get a power up the problem I have is that I cant imagine how much. I myself don't think it would be enough but that just me and I think you would be more knowledgeable on the subject then me.
Their noble phantasm and skills go up a grade or two like from C to B. Still wouldn't be enough to beat the KOTR though, they OP.
@@tungsten8332 That's what I thought to till someone looked up the effects that it had on Vlad and in the light novel for apocrypha it says that its comparable to both a match for Heracles in Greece or King Arthur in Britain. I thought bs but I checked on the wiki and light novel and it says the same. Looking at it where the buff for Vlad is enough to take on a demi god then I don't know.

classic question tbh, honestly its impossible for me to weigh on either side, although generally many analysts would give the battle to the Knights of the Round Table, but only if King Arthur remains in Brittania.
Honestly, I'm pretty sure the movie going to be separated into three parts because of the length of the visual novel alone is quite long ngl.

Despite appearances and personality, Shizuki is NOT a normal person. We don't have a complete view of his backstory but that fact that his character was used a blueprint for Kuzuki (Caster's Master in FSN) should tell you something about the implications of his background.
Kuzuki is literally just a copy from Soujuurou Shizuki (male MC of Mahoyo).
The difference is Shizuki is not emotionless unlike Kuzuki-sensei
Regardless, no human or mage cannot stand toe to toe with a phantasmal beast, one especially rare, from the age of gods.
@@GrandMasterJon he grew up living in a harsh mountain, he has an experience fighting wild beasts during his childhood. We know Shizuki was an inspiration for making Souichirou Kuzuki as a character, it was hinted that they have similar combat training and combat style. Nasu even stated in an interview that Shizuki is the strongest type-moon mc before he gets used to living in a civilization and he gets gradually weaker after living in the city while meeting the witches (Aoko and Alice).
considering ufotable using takeuchi's designs for mahoyo characters instead of koyama's (personally i find takeuchi's design pretty boring and overused) and heaven's feel director working with adaptations (you can guess his style), i don't understand hype around mahoyo anime at all. Its a pretty sad, bcs mahoyo is my favourite visual novel from nasu, both art and narration is really beautiful.
