For all the expert RUclips critics commenting on how Lars' timing is a bit off on a couple songs, perhaps you could volunteer as a temporary replacement drummer for their next few shows. Kind of like a substitute teacher if you will. Hopefully he will take the time off to get some much needed R&R and be better equipped to meet your expectations for future shows. They are as follows: 1.) 40 + years experience as - A drummer in a world famous metal band with a minimum of 20 major awards that must include at lease 3 Grammy's. 2.) 40 + years experience as - A touring musician who has performed in over 1600 live shows on every single inhabited continent. I have always tried to understand why some drummers are so hard on Lars playing. That said, I think if some other drummer was playing in metallica, it wouldn't have the amazing feel it has!!!! Lars has that fit for this band, simple as that!
This concert is an excellent example of why musicians are hard on Lars. 1) tempo: his Tempo is all over the place, band never really locks in with the drums 2) Execution: even the simplest beats are sloppy and janky, precision is non-existent, the rhythm never really clicks in, it’s all cranky and uptight instead of flowing. 3) mistakes: he gets lost a lot, starting a part too early or too late (you even see James ad libbing gibberish to some phrases to work as an auditory clue for Lars) and generally just messes up, often as a result of 4) Larsisms: his goofy improvisations and antics, like the the long, non-sensical, ‘ending-on-the contratempo’ snare fills that became a meme at this point

Too late for that. They left the fans hanging with nothing but shit albums for 20+ years.
@@markcooperartcomofficial if you call load and reload shit albums then you’re a madman

Love the tone James gets in "wherever I may roam" that little custom Gibson really growls! They all sounded fuckin' great, Lars was on fuckin' fire. Awesome show! Thanks for putting this up for us to enjoy!
It's so unbelievable how good James's voice still sounds, he took good care of it and that made his voice age so well.
The older they get the better their live performances become. Mad respect for Metallica!
Well, but they still play the old song..not the newest ones...it should point them that their cd from Load were just a shit.
Lars is playing really bad
@@supremelordoftheuniverse5449 disagree he’s unique
They make the songs easier, like Wherever I May Roam, Fight Fire With Fire, Master, One... Still kick ass
@@Taylor___ He's unique in that he's the only drummer who has not only gotten worse with time, but also has made this much money off being mediocre at best
Amazing video quality (thank you for the upload), incredible set list, you can actually hear the bass! and I'm glad they're still playing for real and going for it, not relying on a bunch of backing tracks. Awesome.
Yeahh txs for uploading, it s amazing quality!
Nothing wrong with backing tracks
Amazing, 41 years and still rocking as hard as they can

Many live shows and this just takes me breath away! I cried watching lots of your videos ! Brings back so many great memories in my life ❤
For all the expert RUclips critics commenting on how Lars' timing is a bit off on a couple songs, perhaps you could volunteer as a temporary replacement drummer for their next few shows. Kind of like a substitute teacher if you will. Hopefully he will take the time off to get some much needed R&R and be better equipped to meet your expectations for future shows. Please make sure you meet the minimum qualifications for the job before applying. They are as follows:
1.) 40 + years experience as - A drummer in a world famous metal band with a minimum of 20 major awards that must include at lease 3 Grammy's.
2.) 40 + years experience as - A touring musician who has performed in over 1600 live shows on every single inhabited continent. Missing only a single year since 1982. *One show must have exceeded 1.6 MILLION people in attendance. (September 28, 1991, at Tushino Airfield in Moscow, Russia)
3.) 40 + years experience as - A recording artist having completed no less than eleven studio albums, eight live albums, three extended plays, 44 singles, ten video albums, 43 music videos, one soundtrack album, one collaboration album and three box sets.
4.) 10 + years as - A member of the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame
If you meet all the above mentioned qualifications please send a copy of your resume to:

I am not really a Metallica fan but I watched every second of this on Saturday and I'm re-watching it today because this is a spectacular performance, everyone was clearly feeling it and I have to say James Hetfield's voice/the sound on this is just insanely good!
Hi
Well, after saying this its hard not to be a fan now.
Thanks for the love and support!! You're choosing by my RUclips managements as an active fan that's why you're seeing this. Kindly send me message on my hangout.❤️
Should have seen him 30 years ago when they started I was watching grandpa in the backstage and he was sitting there rocking he's dead now but that's how badass they were and still rocking love it

Metallica, как всегда на высоте))) Спасибо)))
MY BAND!!!.
I am 49.
If it wasn't for them,i'd be death or in jail...
Thanx for existing!!!
I was at this concert in Werchter and back then already thought it was so good. Very happy with this stream to relive it sometimes. Can even appreciate your coughs @Fr!cko 😂Better late than never, but thanks for sharing!
Still kicking ass after all these years
Superbe concert vivement le prochain.
This must be one of their best concerts of the tour. Damn, Hetfield is really on it, and the rest of the band too.
They were at Pinkpop a week (or few weeks) earlier and was also a top notch performance! These guys still rock
Lars cant keep the tempo
@@supremelordoftheuniverse5449 stop being jealous, he is a good drummer, all i can say

I have to say Hetfield still sounds fucking amazing after 41 years. The fact he can still get the range he has been known for and have the energy on stage is amazing. The entire band still sounds amazing. I've never seen them but have always wanted to, I have just never had them close but now we have a new arena here that opened months ago and some pretty big shows have come through so far so I hope to maybe see them here.
wow! Didnt expect such a great performance. Papa-Het is on fire at almost 60. A real, living legend!
They’ve 100% beefed up the guitar tone.
That rock guitar tone of the last decade was getting me down.
Sounds fn epic here.
lol...its the worst guitar sound i heard live from talica in a long time

Beautiful concert as usual. Glad everyone is healthy at metallica. It's good that covid ended so quickly for them. It's a pity they didn't play in Switzerland 3 days ago. I came especially for my 5th wedding anniversary and the gift went wrong. Greetings. Metallica family from Poland greets
probably non of the 4 got covid, just a crew member. Everyone probably got tested and it was fine
A crewmember got COVID, not a band member. They probably had to wait a day or two to get tested, that's why they had to skip the show.
I was absolutely devasted.. but glad they're okay and could continue with the tour :)

Good Morning from Dougie in Melborne,Australia, how many kids around the world have had the love of METALLICA passed on to them from either their parents or Grand Parents, these guys are gods and that's from someone that has followed them from the beginning.
I just turned 70 years young.
I wish these guys could become immortal so as not to break the chain.
Rock On Guys !

I’m 53. Thank you for so much for so many years of such awesome music
1) tempo: his Tempo is all over the place, band never really locks in with the drums
2) Execution: even the simplest beats are sloppy and janky, precision is non-existent, the rhythm never really clicks in, it’s all cranky and uptight instead of flowing.
3) mistakes: he gets lost a lot, starting a part too early or too late (you even see James ad libbing gibberish to some phrases to work as an auditory clue for Lars) and generally just messes up, often as a result of
4) Larsisms: his goofy improvisations and antics, like the the long, non-sensical, ‘ending-on-the contratempo’ snare fills that became a meme at this point
Whatever Kirk is playing at 54:16 needs to be on the next album.
Including the cough.
Saw them on the "Justice" tour and they absolutely killed it. Doesn't look like they've skipped a beat since then.
Absolutely slayin it, what a band! Cause we're Metallica!!! Fkn killer opening track
It was almost worth watching it for the many mini-heart attacks I had anytime the person recording breathed or coughed down my ear.
