Man this is some serious dedication. For those that dont, know Fat Cat had to learn some UE2 just so he could do the intro; can only imagine how hard it would've been to find some of that old info. Excellent work my man.
@@bell4134 You could probably get away with putting back for blood 2 on the tin and no one would bat an eye. Game looks very little like its predecessors. similar in name only
btw I never even realized a story mode existed. Crazy cool to see where all the OG multiplayer maps came from. It also explains a lot of the "weird" geographical features of those maps
Your strategy against Masterson was GENIUS. CONGRATULATIONS on being the first person to beat killing floor 1.0 without any damage! There is beneficial jank in single player after all, contrary to what I said !
The shortcut on the office map as well as luring the fleshpound to the final boss to make the no damage challenge possible for 1.0 story mode is something that surprised me. I never knew you could do those two things as much as I played 1.0 and it's story mode. lol
i think that was a key feature of the first killing floor - horror and dark environment. Zombies were scary and grotesque. Like when i first launched this game, being a child, i was completely shocked - no instructions or guides, dark maps, hordes of zombies, and the zombies were scary as shit. They lost it in KF2 replacing it with better graphics and physics with dismemberment system. Now there is 3rd part to come. And they again making something doom-like with these brutal muscular zombies. No horror, no fear of dark corners. Game lost it identity i guess. With they make something like KF1 with these community mods and horror as a main goal.
London looks unchanged for the apocalypse happing. Also dam kf1 had a much more horror vibe going. Kinda like it more then kf2, be interesting to see what direction kf3 goes.
Still feels like last week, when I first discovered that neat lil Unreal mod called Killing Floor from some random message board, back in like 2006. Man, really *has* been forever...
I never tried a story mode of this mod. It's nice to see how all the classic locations are connected together, especially the part that biolab is not deep underground but have a door to outside. Rotten, rusty art direction is great, so much better than KF2 IMO. Masterson as a clon surprised me, as much as 4 feet tall scrakes.
Fantastic video. I love this and sometimes wish the team behind the mod made it single player only. Just polishing up the jank, making it better, expanding the lore, etc. Although KF wouldn't be the game it is today...
Back when the game was more Silent Hill than CoD Zombies. Great atmosphere, and insane to think this is a UT 2004 mod. Must have taken some tinkering to get working in modern PCs.
I think one of biggest reasons you didn't get views that you should, is you didn't make a character for your self and you didn't make a face reveal goal or something like that, I hope you the best and I love your crazy high accuracy aim
8:24 okay so THIS fella right here is dressed in military garb, is it safe to assume that is the team leader who gives the player a shotgun? Is this mod going by House of the Dead rules where the mutant clones can infect humans and create more mutants, or based on the ending of the mod was it possible that the shotgun guy was a clone just like Masterson? There's no way Masterson is the only clone planted into the military, and I highly doubt the zeds would take the time to put on army gear
I remember trying the original mod back in the day, and I was really interested in the almost Silent Hill-like aesthetic. Always thought it was a shame the whole thing moved further and further away from these grungy horror roots.
Only a custom intro? Bruh, youtubers are getting lazier every day. I'd have expected you to at least use RTX Remix to add ray-tracing and replace all the assets with upgraded ones... Also, good to know you spent your valentine's day with your one true love, KF ❤
See this is what the fuck I'm talking about, they literally had to do nothing, nothing, to keep this aesthetic, they had to do absolutely NOTHING while making their sequel and their three-quel for people who actually enjoyed the game to enjoy the sequels. If you want a job done right, you have to do it yourself I guess, that means that somewhere in my head, someday, there will be motivation for me to learn to write scripts and make 3d models so I can at the very least make some sort of homage or spinoff to the original KF. Maybe if the Gods are merciful and I get the energy one day, we're not all FatCat though so may the Gods truly show mercy.

Excellent work my man.
Custom intro was fire
Man they really nailed the feeling of walking through Croydon
Seemed a bit too pleasant to be fair
Hell on Earth is just Heaven on Cronx imho
its fitting that we return to our roots just in time to see the third installment rip it out by the stem. Masterfully done, dosh all around
what's wrong with the third game
@@bell4134 You could probably get away with putting back for blood 2 on the tin and no one would bat an eye. Game looks very little like its predecessors. similar in name only
Games need to bring back this "rusty" aesthetic.
Welcome to indy gaming, specially in FPS folder
I think it's referred to as the "grunge" aesthetic but I could be wrong.
like Ultrakill?
@@Gianski150 moreso like Resistance and Og Killzone on the PS3.
Sound design is still very good. You even can hear how raindrops drum on the metal roof of the car at 4:36

The video is good, I'm glad you played Killing Floor v1.0
Lowkey a better aesthetic than kf2 lol
and kf3 too... kf3 lost identity sadly
@@WujaszekDracul Actually he found its own uniqueness by leaving the category of "another RE clone"
KF 1 much better than 2 imho. 2 kinda lost it, from an atmosphere and aesthetic point of view particularly
@@Jackfromshack ? wat
KF got nothing to do with RE

I adore this era of graphics and miss it too
look at what they took from us
also loved the sense of humour you put through out the video :D
Finally a killing floor lore video!
Incredible, Fat Cat. Truly incredible. From the custom intro to the gameplay. That strat with Masterson. Chef's kiss.
You can really feel alot of the Resident Evil inspiration just bleeding from this original mod.
Exactly my thoughts. Is if OG modders wanted to make first person RE but good, and with real teammates.
the artstyle and aesthetics remind me more of Silent hill tbh.
Cool stuff! 26:16 made me laugh, very cinematic. Cheers!

For a old game this is sick
Dude most older games are so much better than modern games. Fun vs agenda
Glad to see you back psycho, looking forward to seeing you destroy KF3. Many years ago your solo demo HOE on the mall is what convinced me to buy kf2
Bro is John Wick in KF universe
I like how west london looks apocalyptic prior to zeds even roaming the streets
Glad to see your posting again, can’t wait for you to have my back in KF3
2 uploads in a week bruh were blessed
Average week in Birmingham
Next morning ater friday night
Awesome intro! And the FP end-game trick is genius!

sadly.. kf3 are more into futuristic vibe..like gantz
kf1?? fking awesome

strong silent hill vibes
Scary as crap but fuckin excellent and as usual Psycho is kicking ass
Two uploads within a span of a week? We are spoiled honestly. Also loved the intro btw!
Hearing Chainsaw Chaos in the Sewers always makes my day. 😁
I wish KF3 had that atmosphere and theme and wasn't a dumb hero shooter, thanks for this video.
i really miss these aestethics already, when we see KF3 is gonna be...

A full-fledged campaign for kf1? As a fan of this series, I was happy to see how the game started 😊
beautiful intro❤
Honestly wishing KF3 was just KF1 aesthetics and KF2 gameplay...
Fantastic video. I love this and sometimes wish the team behind the mod made it single player only. Just polishing up the jank, making it better, expanding the lore, etc. Although KF wouldn't be the game it is today...
The fatcat is back!
I like also the tactic of drawing the monster in to fight for you at the end, smart.
This is literally 1.0 version of this campaign…
And it’s still better than mw3 😂😂😂
Now that was totally amazing. Well done indeed.
The time when Killing Floor is dark and gritty
It is still, just with a bit more on top of it

thank you for this

ANOTHER? LETS GO
Back when Killing Floor didn't know if it wanted to be a zombie game or not
0:40 When i explored KF1 game models with editor, i thought these are unused lol!
i hate they will double down on futuristic crap in KF3, this is the best feel in the franchise.
can you make enemy bodies permanent stay?
Need Remake of this game so good
this is actually more immersive somehow imo
Excellent❤❤
So far, I'd rather pay for this than KF3
Unrestrained kino

He really is the Psych0Gamers
Taunt Zeds
Taunt Zeds
Taunt Zeds
gave me chills ngl
I'll just watch this so I know exactly how they are going from the OG vibe and identity....I feel even worse about NMRIH 2.
Nice intro, but after I watched it narrated by Zynthetic himself, I doubt that anyone can do it better.
Mod on steam ?
How did you made intro actually?😅
Are you hyped for kf3?
благодаря твоим видео я полюбил килинг флур
Oh wow. This is new...
Kf3 looks dope so far how we feeling?
Goated intro.
Yessss
👏
And then we got the cyberpunky sci-fi futuristic bs from KF2 and KF3 lol
это что канон
До того как КФ стал цирком для клоунских ивентов. Вполне
Este juego si que daba miedo, no como el Kf2 y posiblemente el kf3 con skins ridículas y armas con lucecitas de colores
Such a shame they abandoned the 28 days later aesthetic they dropped for the generic DOOM cyberpunk one they're going for in KF3
Круто,но текстуры уже сильно устарели!
Si me acuerdo aún que me vendieron este juego haciéndolo pasar por el killing floor original
This game looks like house of the dead 2
