Hiya Gemma Thankyou for a visit. Wow fresh garlic yum! So many varieties of Pumpikins yes I spelled that on purpose btw. You will enjoy the different taste, cooking methods etc. The spaghetti squash can be used in place of pasta spaghettini , the small green we call acorn squash, roasted in the oven several different fillings can be used as an edible bowl. Garlic looks great even with rust. I resorted to buying a few cucumbers and even they are struggling but we have and are getting bits of rain so hopefully they will perk up. Doing absolutely fantastic guys keep up the great work, Ali 🌥️🌦️🇨🇦
I was so pleased with the harvest I got and still have the polytunnel garlic too 😃 I think we have some due this Sunday but we did get 2 big storms with lots of rain so we have been quite lucky 🙌 I will do a rain dance for you Ali 💃

Garlic looks fab! That one variety is a winner! However the one variety you grew looks like youve got white rot. I'll text you now on how to prevent it spreading etc. Great video gem xxx

Looks great Gemma. I thought I had a lot of pumpkins until I saw your haul !!! I cant wait for mine to start growing. I'm going to pull my garlic up this week and my onions as if we do get rain over the weekend I don't want them getting spolit. They are drying nicely. It's very warm up on my allotment but trying to do a bit each day. Have a lovely weekend x

Hi Sharon 👋 You can still sow them directly now for sure, just check how long the varieties take to mature, some only need 85 days so they would be fine 👍

Rust is a right pain isn't it. We have some on our garlic. I was looking into rust on garlic and your video popped up Gem. Hope you're having a nice weekend ❤ x
Hey Linda ☺️ I still used all of the garlic that had rust I just used it first and it was fine, I just didn't keep anything to re plant. I had a good harvest a few days ago from the polytunnel, I'm having a good one hope you are too Linda xx

The garlic looks great but I think you were right to pull it up now, I love an experiment so will be interested to see how the polytunnel garlic does 😃 you have so many pumpkins! Its so exciting growing the bigger plants, their growth is so fast - my cucumbers are just starting to form fruit and theyve only been out two weeks! 🎉 have a lovely weekend xx

I have rust on my garlic this year because of really heavy rain and really high humidity here in california. I had to get a commercial fungicide used here in commercial garlic growing to stop rust.
Oh wow really, it's the first time I had it and hopefuly not again 😬
I tried neem oil which is organic, I tried copper fungicide which is organic even tried spraying Peroxide I really did try to stay organic and had to use one of 4 certified systemic fungicides that will take care of garlic rust. It was my last option. As i planted 800 cloves and its too costly to let the rust take out everything @@GemInTheGarden
I have heard from a gardner I follow when the 2 out side leaves die back pull your garlic

What does rust on the leaves nornally mean? Everythings looking great, I'm finding my garden is so dry 🥵
Its a disease that stops growth but the bulb itself is still fine to use if it has grown enough 😁 same here everywhere is super dry 😬
