- Its not always obvious that mushrooms are the reproductive organs of some fungi - essentially the equivalent of flowers. The main mushroom body is usually hidden away in the soil or a tree or somewhere. Mushroom fairy rings are one of the best ways of getting some idea for what is happening with mushrooms under the ground. Here we take a look at a great Agaricus campestris fairy ring (with some horses for company)

why nothing is happening to him is because the myths are fake but faries do make and use fairy circles. I know this because I went into a fairy ring myself and then went home and back to check on the fairy circle and it was gone.
But do not ever stray into a fairy circle, or you'll be transported into the fairy realm, where you'll meet certain doom. If you dare to enter a ring, many myths warn that you will die young. You also become invisible to the mortal world. Unable to escape the ring, you might also lose an eye for your foolishness.
