A true artist. Not concerned about ego or stature, but just making music. I would like the song he was making to be a release. Even after all these years it sounds fresh to me.
operation nostalgia this saturday morning... saw this video 8 years ago for the first time and was a game changer for me as musician and producer. Switched from protools to ableton, got TAL chorus and a wrist watch :)
I dont mean to be offtopic but does anyone know of a method to log back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly forgot my login password. I love any help you can give me
This was brilliant! Infectious joy and enthusiasm for just creating! I love how he'll use everything from a CS-80 to a free Juno vst. Not snobbish at all. Really genuine and really nice!
Learnt some good production techniques and also got to know some new plugins. Thanks Future magazine and Fred Falke. Also very good video recording, and the sound is well captured too. Thanks to all crew involved.
Fuck David Guetta and Avicii, this man is an absolute legend and makes some of the most amazing track and remixes with some of my favourite basslines of all time, this bloke is my hope for the music industry, especially house and french house. Indisputably one of the best producers out there and a classic example of originality and how the state of house and french house should be. He's such a top bloke as well!
this guy is such an inspiration to me! His sound is unique! Thank u so much for having him on FMM ... i'm also so glad to see we use some of the same 'not really professional' tecniques when it comes to producing :-)
As with most of the stuff on this channel these videos were originally released in the magazine, this video was on the accompanying dvd with the full interview (links for this are in the video) in the magazine in 2010.
i keep coming back here to watch this. love the "record test" theory. All of us who were buying vinyl back in the day understand that drop the needle feeling
To me the best electro-disco musician and arranger who grasped late 70s - early 80s spirit. Your tracks are so inspirational notably "lose control" remix. I used to play bass, but thx to you I started playing guitar and keyboard.
Yeah, Falke and Braxe are just as good (if not better in some aspects) than Daft Punk, too bad they forgot putting out music is only a fraction of being a big act and staying relevant (or they simply dont care about marketing and imagery in general). Loved both of his new singles, but they barely got airplay in Spotify and RUclips, I at least hope DJs are paying homage to this legend and are spinnin it in the clubs
super awesome to see this guy who's amazing elusive bassline sound that i have admired for years (not to mention spearheading new disco stuff 15 years ahead of everyone else) that he is kinda tedious with Ableton and doesn't even use keyboard shortcuts. I love how haphazard he is
LMAO @ the "record test"! I like his style! Such a cool completely down-to-earth dude and definitely knows his stuff. Oh and the music is a bonus too. Thanks for sharing FM, this was one of the best of all the vids I've seen.
Inspirational. Whilst the other style of videos of producers talking you through a track they made two years ago has some good tips and tricks this is far better.
he change his ideas so many times and everyone of them was really fantastic, actually when he makes a one track he makes many great combinations that i really like!
since one year looking often this vid! one of the best "in studio with", great musician great composer, vintage stuff ...this guy influenced me to go back and work with hardware again..vst is not the only way, forget the matrix : ) ...welcome to the real world !
The guy who does the interviews for Future Music has one of the best jobs ever.Imagine meeting the best artists, learning about music and still getting paid for it! WOW :D if i had that job i'd alway be happy to go to work on a Monday
I only intended to watch a few minutes of this. As an amateur of amateurs this blew my mind. After an hour and a half I realize that I'm going to have to seriously rethink how I make music now... great stuff.
Very amusing and enjoyable musician, (unlike some producers I've seen on here, yawn) his got the vibe and clearly enjoys his work, learnt some great ideas off him and wiil definitely look out for his work, top marks.
You can skip straight to 19:30 when he starts playing with the CS80. The first 20 mins is just chopping drum samples in Ableton. Great process overall! Loves Falke's stuff
Really nice. One of those videos you shouldn't watch at work, because only one thing you want to do is call off sick and get to your gear and start recording :-)
Brilliant really enjoyed this. Likeable bloke great musician and engineer. Obviously been around Ableton and studio gear / processes for awhile. Makes something hard/ time consuming look fast and easy looking and great fun.My experience of this process is that it can be really time consuming and very frustrating at times! Yeah wonder what happened to this track too. Learnt a lot from this. Good luck to him and thanks to Future music for putting up the vid.
8 YEARS LATER... STILL THE MOST LEGENDARY FM VIDEO!!!
😂 really?
10y I'm watching and still brilliant
@@edgodsall3740yeah
almost 11 years are passed, and I'm still here!
same for me dude :)
A true artist. Not concerned about ego or stature, but just making music. I would like the song he was making to be a release. Even after all these years it sounds fresh to me.
I think it became “Radio Days” from his EP from 2017 I think.
Fred falke is a musical genius
Those CS80 chords were the killer and i also loved how great the bassline turned out.
operation nostalgia this saturday morning... saw this video 8 years ago for the first time and was a game changer for me as musician and producer. Switched from protools to ableton, got TAL chorus and a wrist watch :)
I've watched this way too many times!
me too, this is one of the best
Inspirational. Great mix of classic hardware, software, studio magic and musical TALENT.
I dont mean to be offtopic but does anyone know of a method to log back into an Instagram account..?
I stupidly forgot my login password. I love any help you can give me
the best "in the studio" in the history of future music :)
My favourite FMM video :)
Same here
Ah, a breath of fresh air for Future Music.
This was brilliant! Infectious joy and enthusiasm for just creating! I love how he'll use everything from a CS-80 to a free Juno vst. Not snobbish at all. Really genuine and really nice!

I love how he does not seem to take it too seriously, yet does amazing music !
I always come back to this video...
Learnt some good production techniques and also got to know some new plugins. Thanks Future magazine and Fred Falke. Also very good video recording, and the sound is well captured too. Thanks to all crew involved.
so inspiring. french touch is one of those magical genres and fred produces it so perfectly and godlike
0:21:10 - that's just so much warmth and love!
Fisher Sam Fisher it's where the music started to come alive...
I love how when he struggles to explain something in words, he shuts himself up so he can explain with the music
Fuck David Guetta and Avicii, this man is an absolute legend and makes some of the most amazing track and remixes with some of my favourite basslines of all time, this bloke is my hope for the music industry, especially house and french house. Man you're right this man is AMAZING !!! That bassline it's fuck awesome
Half way there with your wish, just Guetta to go.
I'm endlessly thankful this exists. Learnt so much from the legendary Falke. (The sound of the CS80, omgggg!)
Love the note on his iMac saying: "Save⚠️"! Who knows how many hits weren't saved in time!
I love this musician
Falke is awesome, his production process is so pure, and it shows in his music. Nice mix of digital and analogue, no templates. awesome
The part from 20:15 to 20:35 is pure genius, he should've kept that, so warm and clean!
Yes true i can maje a real song with this.. and he make bad song ahahahz
Some serious business right here! A lot of tips. Essential...
When Fred starts playing his bass guitar 😍 imagine Fred Falke doing a masterclass
He plays one chord on the synth, instant eargasm
Fred's great what a legend. I love learning stuff and his enthusiasm is infections. Merci Fred!
this guy is such an inspiration to me! His sound is unique! Thank u so much for having him on FMM ... i'm also so glad to see we use some of the same 'not really professional' tecniques when it comes to producing :-)
Brilliant video - love the Falke!

Absolutely brilliant, one of the best videos FM has uploaded, a true magician at work ;)
he change his ideas so many times and everyone of them was really fantastic, actually when he makes a one track he makes many great combinations that i really like!
Fun fact, the drum loop he uses at 5:44 is from Pink Floyd - Another Brick In The Wall
i have been listening to fred for a long time he still inspires me !

I love how you can see him get excited when he found the first loop he was gonna use from his take. Thats how making music should always be :-)
Does anyone know if he published this track? I need it on repeat in my life.
Okay, now I have to learn to play bass.
