    Super informative video, Khang! I think people really appreciate being able to see you do it real time like that and also showing each step along the growth/trim cycle. I cannot believe you took that many leaves off the 2nd time. But wow, your plant looks amazing and now I know your secret to lush, gorgeous plants! Happy New Year to you and yours!

    Lovely pruning method for keeping them nice and tidy under that aero light Khang. Really thorough explanation on light penetration under less intense lighting conditions and smaller spaces. Enjoyed this very much.

    Thank you for all of your explanations, knowledge and videos Khang! Between you, pepper guru and a few others I’m constantly having videos to catch up on! All of them are great resources. Going into my second year growing, hoping to conquer it better than my first year!

    Am an absolute newbie! Thanks for the very clear explanation 👍. I'll be planting my first pepper soon! What do you do with the leaves after pruning? Can they be eaten like curry plant leaves?

      SE Asians would pluck the younger leaves n make soup with it. u need a large plant with many young shoots.

    Very informative and useful video! May I know if you used the same hydroponic nutrients before trimming the leaves and during production of the pepper flowers and fruits? I am growing pepper plants hydroponically but so far I only have beautiful and lush green leaves whereas the flower buds kept falling off. Thanks in advance!

    Thanks for the tips. I'm growing romaine lettuce. Do you apply the same procedure or just trim bottom leaves. Romaine grows from the center out. I planted them 5 weeks ago and growing crazy. Just wondering, cause bottom leaves don't get much light..there not dying tho. Thanks for the share.

    • @KhangStarr
      @KhangStarr  2 года назад

      No need to trim romaine. The outermost leaves will be the largest and they will grow much bigger than the ones inside. If you're growing in the AeroGarden, put your light as low as possible. Harvest the leaves from the outside when they are big enough. The next set of leaves will take over and so on. You will get lots of harvests.

    Hi there! Will this technique work in soil as well? by technique i mean the keeping-it-real-close to the light tech? I ran out of space in my tent so am growing either a habanero or c.reaper (i lost the labels hahah) in a small cabinet turned into grow-box with a 50watt LED about 2inches from the top, it seems to like it so far but wondering it it will stay short, its currently 4-5 inches, after topping it. I'd love it to be 6inches and bush out. I can add an additional clip on lamp with a CFL if you think that will help for the sides. thanks! and thanks for your videos :) subbed definitely

    • @augustr6456
      @augustr6456 2 года назад

      and by soil i mean a soil/perlite/coir mix (i've know learned that adding soil to coco coir isn't a great idea but everything thats growing in it loves it so who knows)

    I also transplanted a tomato plant from the aerogarden to a pot. I placed it beside the aerogarden but only getting half the light. Will this effect the tomato plant? Thanks

    • @KhangStarr
      @KhangStarr  2 года назад

      yes it will. Your tomato will stretch like vines.

    Is there any benefit in wrapping the system with a reflective surface (like an emergency blanket) so that the light that does not hit the plant can get a second chance being reflected back in or back up?

    • @gawsrocks

      I do it, I’d say it’s worth it

    • @benthere8051
      @benthere8051 2 года назад +2

      Yes. That is why the grow tents are made with aluminized mylar on the interior. The light that didn't hit the plant on the first pass gets a 2nd and 3rd and nth chance to strike the leaves.

    • @KhangStarr
      @KhangStarr  2 года назад +1

      If you're growing superhot, bumpy leaves are natural characteristics. The leaves can get huge and very bumpy.
