Khabib has more mental strength than anyone I have ever seen in sports, including Michael Jordan and Tom Brady. I think GSP has a physical edge over Khabib in every physical skill (except wrestling) but I believe if they had ever fought, Khabib would be the one whose hand got raised. In that same regard, I think you were wrong about Max beating Zabit: Zabit’s mental domination would have given him the belt.

This is my last comment on this video cuz I think I made six of them. 😊 I think that Max Holloway is the better boxer compared to Topuria but Topuria is the better puncher. If you put the two of them in an Olympics style points boxing match I think Max would win easily. But the Spaniard is a great puncture and has a lot of power which compensates for his slightly lower skill level in boxing.
About Volk vs Kabib, you can't base what would happen off Volk's fight with Islam because Volk would've prepared differently for a different opponent. Its like trying to predict what would happen if Volk fought Islam before he fought Islam. Nobody thought we'd see what we saw in the first fight.
Arnold Allen is probably the perfect embodiment of there are "levels to this shit." The dude was on a 10 fight win streak with some really good opponents in there until he finally reached the top and got Max and Movsar. The guy is a great fighter but when he got to the top three or four guys it showed that he was not ready for prime time just yet. There's always been these kind of guys in the UFC. Guys like Donald cerrone and Calvin kattar or Dan Hooker. Guys that look like the next champ until they fight the guys in the top five and then reality happens. I'm so sorry I'm leaving so many comments for this video but a lot of this stuff seems to be lining up with things I've been thinking about.
Jorge masvidal is a finesse striker who does not pack a lot of power. Justin would eat a bunch of his shots but would be basically undamaged and the reverse would not be true. Masvidal would take four or five shots from Justin and be out on his ass . Slept. If Kamara Usman can knock out Jorge masvidal then just imagine what Justin could do.😊 People need to remember that until the Ben askren fight happened Jorge masvidal was pretty much the definition of an average UFC fighter. People remember him for all of his later fights with Usman and Covington but people seem to be forgetting that he lost those fights.
I've been watching sports my whole life and in almost every sport there's that once in a lifetime, Cinderella moment that happens in an athlete's career. I think that bizarre unpredictable moment could be Dustin Poirier beating Islam. This is definitely one from my heart and not from my head and actually I would prefer to see Islam when because I like to see the better fighter winbecause that's sort of the fair/ logical thing but I just have a weird idea that Dustin is going to get a lucky punch or kick against Islam before he has the chance to get taken down and ragdolled. It just fits the script writer's dream. He's going to go into that fight as a massive underdog and also as a guy who's had two shots at the belt and lost both of them. I see it as a redemption arc where Dustin somehow gets a flash knockout and becomes the UFC lightweight champion. We'd be seeing shots of him crying and all of his family crying and everybody would be super happy at least until the rematch happens and then at that point he would get smoked and lose the title. Hell, it might even happen because he jumps the Gilly and it finally works. Lol😊 I'm definitely not a casual and so I know that Dustin has a very bad shot of winning this fight but I have seen enough redemption stories in my sports watching career to know that this kind of thing happens once every few years.
I think there is a chance Jones couldn't win the ufc title if he was between 135-170 lbs divisions, those divisions have each 80 ufc fighters competing (155 lbs has even 100 ufc fighters), while 185+ and 125 lbs have around 40 ufc fighters. Completely different level, if Gustafson or Reyes could almost beat Jones, with the skill level of 135-145-155, he would be in trouble.
Ankaev is 100% going to be the worst fight for Poatan. Obviously he's got that chain style wrestling thing that will keep Pereira on his back or tapped out sometime by the second round. That is unless Ankalaev is built like Jon Jones to where he wants to beat you at the style that you're known for. Jones did that for years by out wrestling wrestlers and out striking strikers just to prove a point. I don't think that's going to happen and I think we're going to see Pereira lose the belt but at least he got to defend it the one time. Now I don't think it's a 100% sure that he's going to wrestle him because he is a very well-rounded fighter and likes to strike but he's not a stupid guy and the takedowns are probably going to come hard and fast. Maybe if that happens then Pereira will go ahead and make that move up to heavyweight where there's only a couple guys that can wrestle. Pretty much like the light heavyweight division.😊
The sport has evolved by so much over the years. As someone who wanted to be a fighter, back in 2016 I wasn't very impressed by the competition, but especially since like 2019 the level of some of these fighters has gotten pretty crazy!

People are saying that an average, untrained man with a sword (first time in his life he's holding a sword) is a big favorite vs a "top MMA champion" even in an open field fight. Now sure the MMA guy is smartest to just disengage, you don't want to risk serious bodily harm from a dude on the street, but if he somehow didn't decide on doing that, I just can't see the random untrained man being able to use the sword to his advantage properly, chances are he'd swing and miss a few times and then gas out, the MMA athlete could time him and engage when it's safe. Khabib has more mental strength than anyone I have ever seen in sports, including Michael Jordan and Tom Brady. I think GSP has a physical edge over Khabib in every physical skill (except wrestling) but I believe if they had ever fought, Khabib would be the one whose hand got raised. In that same regard, I think you were wrong about Max beating Zabit: Zabit’s mental domination would have given him the belt.

I think that Max Holloway is the better boxer compared to Topuria but Topuria is the better puncher. If you put the two of them in an Olympics style points boxing match I think Max would win easily. But the Spaniard is a great puncture and has a lot of power which compensates for his slightly lower skill level in boxing.

I've been watching sports my whole life and in almost every sport there's that once in a lifetime, Cinderella moment that happens in an athlete's career. I think that bizarre unpredictable moment could be Dustin Poirier beating Islam. This is definitely one from my heart and not from my head and actually I would prefer to see Islam when because I like to see the better fighter winbecause that's sort of the fair/ logical thing but I just have a weird idea that Dustin is going to get a lucky punch or kick against Islam before he has the chance to get taken down and ragdolled. It just fits the script writer's dream. He's going to go into that fight as a massive underdog and also as a guy who's had two shots at the belt and lost both of them. I see it as a redemption arc where Dustin somehow gets a flash knockout and becomes the UFC lightweight champion. We'd be seeing shots of him crying and all of his family crying and everybody would be super happy at least until the rematch happens and then at that point he would get smoked and lose the title. Hell, it might even happen because he jumps the Gilly and it finally works. Lol😊
I'm definitely not a casual and so I know that Dustin has a very bad shot of winning this fight but I have seen enough redemption stories in my sports watching career to know that this kind of thing happens once every few years.
I think there is a chance Jones couldn't win the ufc title if he was between 135-170 lbs divisions, those divisions have each 80 ufc fighters competing (155 lbs has even 100 ufc fighters), while 185+ and 125 lbs have around 40 ufc fighters. Completely different level, if Gustafson or Reyes could almost beat Jones, with the skill level of 135-145-155, he would be in trouble.
Ankaev is 100% going to be the worst fight for Poatan. Obviously he's got that chain style wrestling thing that will keep Pereira on his back or tapped out sometime by the second round. That is unless Ankalaev is built like Jon Jones to where he wants to beat you at the style that you're known for. Jones did that for years by out wrestling wrestlers and out striking strikers just to prove a point. I don't think that's going to happen and I think we're going to see Pereira lose the belt but at least he got to defend it the one time. Now I don't think it's a 100% sure that he's going to wrestle him because he is a very well-rounded fighter and likes to strike but he's not a stupid guy and the takedowns are probably going to come hard and fast. The sport has evolved by so much over the years. As someone who wanted to be a fighter, back in 2016 I wasn't very impressed by the competition, but especially since like 2019 the level of some of these fighters has gotten pretty crazy!
