Mkxl was so much better. I feel like I can wreck people in mkxl but in mk11 it always made me mad that you have so much more of a chance to win because of random things like fatal blows, crushing blows, no traditional wakeup attacks and most of all a stupid meter that refills itself.

It's because ppl love the "victory button" (mixups, broken setups, all this shit), when you needn't to learn much to have some W (instead of some thinking, when all you have is strike'n'throw gameplan, and you should have some strategy without easy blind guesses like mixups), plus it looks faster than MK11, 'cause ppl don't like to wait. It's the same reason, why they hate zoners and absence of running in MK11 (despite the presence of wave dash tech to reach your opponent faster than with regular dash), if you can just run with every character in MKX, and you needn't to wait for opportunity or be more patient (instead of aggressive) as well. That is reasons this game is "so much fun". But to play like this it demands way more mastering in game. Really good strong players are always small in number. In every fighting game. You need to work hard to achieve this level and spend huge time on playing. And they see and play way different game, unlike others, even if they play the same game. Unfortunately, few people can commit it. The rest of them probably will never do it. One time I asked on RUclips one man under his comment "air gas Kabal is so much fun!" (That was under one of Rewind's videos, I think), why he does think like that. Is it because all you need is jump jump and gas gas and buffer nomad dashes after jumps? And repeat it until you achieve victory? (Of course, that was exaggeration of mine, but I conveyed the essence correctly) He said "yes". Add it to previous reasons.
