Gilbert & George: The Great Exhibition | Introduction

During the preliminary work on “Gilbert & George - The Great Exhibition” at Moderna Museet, we visited the artists, who welcomed us into their home and studio on Fournier Street in London’s East End, where they have lived and worked since the late 1960s. They talked to us about their art and took us on one of their legendary walks through a neighbourhood that has provided material for their art for more than 50 years. We met again in Stockholm for a walk through the finished exhibition at Moderna Museet.
