If you cover the spill at the beginning, while wet, with table salt and leave it for several days, and then vacuum, the salt will totally absorb and dehydrate the liquid and the stain. I cleaned up a cup of spilled hot chocolate on my carpet this way! I keep a huge box of salt in the house for any nasty spill...even oil on the garage floor.

I think it's from wearing shoes that squeeze your toes together. When I was little, my bed sheets were always tucked in tightly, so I folded my feet to the right side. This made my left foot naturally tilt inward and my right foot outward. Now that I've noticed it, I make sure my bed sheets are loose.

Luminol reacts to lots of things like iron proteins copper sulfates etc so wine would likely cause a false positive for blood. Even a room that was smoked in heavily would react to luminol

James, I wonder how many carpets worldwide you've saved from landfill. Your videos are incredible - I had no idea that a carpet could be restored so well after such an awful spillage. I will certainly think twice now about buying new carpets when they've become old and soiled.
