Ashley is currently a sophomore at UC Berkeley majoring in data science. Her goal is to pair the ubiquitous necessity of data to analyze world events at a think tank or research group. She is especially interested in disinformation campaigns, deepfakes, data ethics, and their impacts on democracy. However, global/international studies as a whole has her attention, and she hopes to utilize her learnings to impact the world around her.
In this interview Ashley talks about how she chose Data Science, what inspires her to seek out networking opportunities, her career aspirations, and what advice she has for younger students and what she would tell her younger self about exploring educational paths.
