- Worst ice storm of the year. Millions of homes without power. Trees down! Power lines down! Families without basic necessities! At least that's what they tell me. I was chilling at my off grid cabin.

Hey russell,hello from Colorado. Just wanted to suggest an idea for safety sake.When your leaving the doggies in the cabin while away maybe remove knobs from gas stove so they don't accidentally get kicked on by dogs on counter.maybe you can turn gas off at tank easier.maybe you already do.happened to me once by a cat.came home to serious gas smell in apartment. Good thing I was only gone for an hour.best wishes🍻

Bad doggie! I can relate. I have a bad kitty. I had 2 bags of treats on the 2nd shelf in an upper cabinet. She got them and I found the ripped packages. The treats were gone. My other kitty was more than happy to partake of the ill gotten proceeds. He let's her do the preliminaries. Buggers! Maybe I need a surveillance camera. 😀👍👍🐕

Our pines on our property took a beating with this ice storm. Yesterday I walked around to see the devastating results and cried. On top of this devastion my Aunt passed away yesterday and she was my God Mother.

I’ve never seen elk poop, kinda looks like trix but nice tasty brown! Yeah, my dog Major likes to lounge on our couches when we leave, pushes the pesky pillows off to make himself more comfortable, definitely not allowed on there ever! Very nice footage of the water, we’ve got a shit ton of flooding here in California too. We were moved to drought moorings on our lake and now it’s going to fill to capacity and more, so lots of run off for the rivers and streams. Thank you Russell, it was a good one.

Russell, the drone-work in this episode is fantastic. In particular, the shots of the creeks/rivers rushing were great.
The ticks come out super early up there, probably the first time I've seen a tick with snow on the ground.

Nice video Russel ...it would be cool to set your trail cam up where the Elk were herding and see if you could get some pics of them. We only have White Tailed Deer here in Ner Brunswick and no Elk.
Sheds tend to fall off when the animals jump across revines creeks small hills and ups and downs thru trees. Just a thought!!! Thanks for sharing

Interesting about the Elk pooping in one area. I know other antelopes do that. They call it a mitten. They like to do it in one spot. Like marking their territory. So others know who lives there.

Have you ever visited Shawn James or/and the oposite? Elk-droppings must be a good fertilizer?? was that a redish thin taco-wrapper? Why is it red?Is there trout in that riverUsh, I can actually see there is a lot of ice on the trees, not nice.Lovely view from the drone

I hope you scooped up all the elk poop for your garden, get the scent around your house so maybe they come for a visit during hunting season. Have you ever tried double sided tape around the bottom of your pants for tick season, if so does it work?

Nice knives City girl herbs are doing great I love the countainer their in. Russell nice drone footage such a pretty waterfall that was , Amazing how far the lake came in from that nasty rain storm , we had no ice here in London but did here of the damage Quebec way and fooding up your way as well as to the east of ya. So Willow got busted lol , guess you know where not to leave things lol. Enjoyed the hike in the start always enjoy them with Alicia you and the girls so pretty.

I didn’t hear City Girl’s opinion of her new Nakiri knife (the first one she held up), so I hope she enjoys it. They’re designed to be the ultimate vegetable slicer (long & thin with a straight blade). Most of the ones I’ve familiar with, however, have a thinner spine and no distinct bevel running down the middle of the blade, so yours may be designed to handle tougher vegetables like hard squashes.

Good show Russel! I too loved the drone shots. Not sure which I liked best, the high panoramic shots, or the low, in the valley ones. Both were fantastic!! Takes a lot of faith to fly it down in the woods like that. I lost mine IN my house some where. IN it's dang box!! I put it away some time back, now I can't find it. cuss cuss!! Glad you had no serious damage from the ice storm. And, up on the ROCK you are probably not worried about flooding. Great video. I enjoyed the trips around the property. A lot of poop there but very interesting. Love City Girl. She brightens up Raspberry Rock and a radius of five miles around there. Could overload your solar panels.
