Her voice is like water. 💦 She can sing almost any genre smoothly with a her own twists. I love her.
She was 16 when this was uploaded to youtube. I came across her as a youtube suggestion and it was the song You Don't Even Know Me the stripped version. I have never had so many chills listening to a song before. i was stunned from the first word out of her mouth. That was in 2019.I have been a fan ever since. I am in Texas so not too far from you. Enjoy checking out her songs. You cannot go wrong reacting to any of them.
It's so great that you have discovered her, she gets better and better with each new song she does. If you're looking for more covers, she got lots, but she also has a really big (for someone who is still going to University and is splitting time doing that plus her singing career) catalogue of originals. Depending on what you're looking for, I am sure you will find it within her songs. My fav covered song of hers is Desert Rose by Sting as she sings both the Arabic and the English parts, after that it has to be Blue by Eiffel 65. You can actually catch a live version of Desert Rose on the Singer 2024 which she is currently participating in in China. This was ep 11, and she has done a song every week and this week 2 songs. Worth checking out!! - Oh, almost forgot, I'm from Canada, when I discovered Faouzia (Foe-zee-ah) I it was by happen stance, just came across her stripped version of Tears of Gold and have been listening to anything and everything of hers ever since!
I found Faouzia the same way as another comment or below did. I was watching a reaction by Rebecca vocal athlete, vocal coach on RUclips in 2019. Late 2019. It was the song “this mountain“. Our struck by how much she managed to fit in to that song as far as showing off her vocab abilities, such a short video, and what it seemed to be a very simple sounding song at the start. I thought she had a beautiful tone, agility, and ease with her belting. And she was so gorgeous and had beautiful hair. I looked up a few videos, and I liked a few other songs, but I fell off of her for about five more months or so, and then came back because I had always intended to. And that’s when I stayed a fan in about spring or summer 2020. It’s been full speed ahead since then.
I found out when daneliya tuleshova sang tears of gold on AGT and i thought what an amazing song and i looked it up never expecting what an amazing and talented singer i will end up finding.

I think I saw the studio version of “tears of gold“ right after I saw her stripped version of “this mountain“ and I don’t think I was that impressed with the studio version of “tears of gold“, and I think that’s why I fell off of her those first six months. But then I had it in my head to keep going with her because her voice struck me as so unique and deep and rich, but yet full of range. So I came back and I saw this mountain again, Followed by “tears of Gold” the stripped version that was the end. Full speed ahead as a fan.

Your first few Faouzia songs that you've chosen are really surprising - but shows how you can't go wrong with how you go down the Faouzia rabbit hole! Keep going! There's so much more and this is very indicative of how she works: it's not just vocals - it's artistry, creativity, emotion - whether it's her own content or her covers you get a work of art. Also btw I appreciate that your cat knew when the show was over and left lol
I discovered Faouzia in 2019 when I saw a musical analysis on the acoustic version of her song “this mountain” and I fell in love with her voice ever since!!

7 years ago means she was only 17 then, she celebrated her 24th bd this month. You definitely need to check the stripped version of Tears of Gold, that's a Faouzia starter. She has many amazing songs; Bad Dreams, Elon, Anybody Else, to name some.. But you can also check her spectacular covers in the competition show in China "Singer 2024"

You seem to want to go down the path less followed with Faouzia reactions. That's good. My personal favourite cover by Faouzia is "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room". It's definitely one that's rarely reacted to... but be sure to listen to it, even if you don't react to it.
You should check Exothermic from her too, which displays her vocal range amazingly

@JeffreyHackReacts one thing I find with her singing that often people claim she's using Auto-Tune, and when you're listening to Studio production maybe so. But then you hear her sing live, and realize that her flips and yodels literally mimic auto tune and are somewhat indistinguishable much of the time. She literally has clips from her teens when she's in a parking lot with her phone, and there's still studio qualities in her voice.
She did amazing covers in a Chinese singing contest called Singer. All the contestants have music careers so it’s high quality. Maybe start with Desert Rose You’ll need to blurr it for copyright
