As one of the first all Filipino a capella groups in my high school who performed professionally in the 90’s, Philly4 returns to the microphone on EP. 19 of Behind The Sound. We talk about everything from the legendary “3” jacket worn by Boys II Men’s Shawn Morrison that Francis wore to school, to Chris (Crusher) jumping on bars at his job in a Northside club performing Usher covers, to Warren maintaining that sexy falsetto along with his vampire-like young face nearly 3 decades later. Philly4 was the first ever group that inspired me as a fresh young 16 year old, by showing me that people who looked like me could indeed make a professional career out of music in Edmonton. They were the coolest dudes I knew, and as you’ll see in this episode, they still got it.
