My mom even likes them and knows the words. My dog that passed recently and our song was "FOREST" & "TREES". He laid on my lap or feet to that song. Just trying to remember the good times. So there is a BBC interview with Tyler and he explains that the song was originally put together because his younger brother wanted to see how the process of making a song was from start to finish. He then goes on to say that “lyrically it turned into talking about being an older brother and the only thing tougher than to figure out what your purpose is, is watching someone whom you love try to figure out their purpose. “That’s what the song is kinda about, is trying to give that person that boost of encouragement and pushing them forward.” -Tyler Joseph
Also, he says that in the beginning of you listen close you can hear a baby coo and goes on to say: “When I was first working on the song, she (Rosie) was in the room with me and I had my phone out just singing something into a voice memo and she made a noise in the background and immediately I thought ‘ahh she just ruined that recording’. But when I transferred it to my rig in my studio and I was working on that audio file I found myself loving that she had been in some way apart of that creative process and I actually kept her noise in the beginning of that song.”

Lowkey miss long hair Tyler and this era in general. I loved the disco/pop vibe of it. Yes, I know many people hated it but idk there was something about it that just sat with me.

It always feels weird when one of your favorite bands from when you were a teenager evolves with you. I was depressed and suicidal back then. Now I’m confident, happy, strong but still trying to work out things that happened to me. I can’t wait for the album.
Old head here - I grew up a "Rush " Fanatic - seen them live 30 times, also got to see Styx , Jethro Tull The Who ect.... Have not really been into much new music since the 90's. My Daughter discovered 21 Pilots years ago and has been obsessed, so I bought tickets for their Philly show on 9/2/2022. I had 9 months between purchase date and concert so I listed to every album prior to the concert to prepare. The concert was absolutely amazing. These guys are a once in a generational talent, Their fans are the most loyal and fanatical I've seen (since my Rush Days) Tyler's vocals are unbelievable live and incredible musicianship all around - Josh is such a hard hitting yet precise and fluid drummer - especially given that he has to play with samples much of the time - truly remarkable. This band will be known as once of the greatest acts of all time - and I do not say that lightly. Ps - Thank you for giving my daughter the experience to truly connect with a band that not only are musical greats = but embody the true spirit of being great Human beings and making the world a better place.
it’s so refreshing to hear a new twenty one pilots song although it’s a lot different from what they normally do i still love it and i think people should respect them for being experimental. they’ve had such a big impact on the music scene and i hope one day i can have a similar impact with my music🙏🏻

It kind of makes me cry when I listen to their new songs. I've been a fan forever and it always feels so nostalgic whenever new albums and songs come out. You really hear how much they have changed
I mean they always try their best to explore sounds through there music. I don’t really think there is a “different vibe” for them. They always construct songs that have them hopping in & out of multiple Genres at once.

*For those of you confused as to why their style sounds different:* Tyler recently said that he has two albums he wants to release. One following the “Dema” storyline, while the other would be more of a placeholder. Following all the theories and clues we know so far about “Scaled And Icy”, it’s safe to assume that Dema has captured the band and is forcing them to play songs the Bishops made, so of course it’s not going to sound like them. Irl, this is Tyler’s way of making an alternative album that won’t “shock” the fans immediately, and show us some of his amazing music that doesn’t follow the classic TØP formula.

*For those of you confused as to why their style sounds different:* Tyler recently said that he has two albums he wants to release. One following the “Dema” storyline, while the other would be more of a placeholder. Following all the theories and clues we know so far about “Scaled And Icy”, it’s safe to assume that Dema has captured the band and is forcing them to play songs the Bishops made, so of course it’s not going to sound like them. Irl, this is Tyler’s way of making an alternative album that won’t “shock” the fans immediately, and show us some of his amazing music that doesn’t follow the classic TØP formula.
This sounds like them idk what people are on about they have always had these types of songs??
