Best nelson sets I've seen. He was really working the beat but I preffered kite in this one just because I felt like he was dancing more. Respect to both dancers.
I don't care. That was a great battle between two great dancers. They both had their own style and rhythm, and this just showed how good they are as freestylers and poppers. Peace & Love to France and Japan!

@cammicty understand your history, and what poppin is. like poppin pete and boogaloo sam said (the creators of poppin) you have hip hop, bboy and then funk style, under funk you have poppin, boogaloo, fresno, toyman, scarecrow etc...., these are different styles. the japenese guy named kite, was poppin but his style is boogaloo, or boog. poppin is not only hitting hard like nelson, the japenes guy hits, but you cant see it well because he moves around alot

We actually made physical contact at times. But was no thing. It was part of it. Fights only happened with wack breakers who were young and inexperienced. They quickly stopped dancing because no one would battle them. It maybe different now. I don't know. It's been many many years since I've battled. :)
Man, the chinese are nice! they scream and shout OOH for the nice moves! here in Brazil people only shout for dancers they know or are if they friends to....
i am a popper! why dance like they used to in the 70's.... why keep the style the same, why cant we move on, movies these days arent in black and white are they, they have moved to colour, so lets give popping some colour! lets carry on the dancing and stop bitching....... what would you rather! it carry on forever, or popping to be left and forgotten about and never danced again, because it camme from the 70's, grow up!!!
when Nelson provoke, it seems like he afraid he will lose, but he hang in there, keeping his confidence, he has a great move. I am disappointed with Kite in the first round, it seems like he didn't prepare much. He seem hesitant, no confidence and confuse, like lose his focus and you can see on 4:56 that he looks disappointed also.. I don't know if its just me or other people also think the same but, I really don't like when they announce your opponent winning, they point at you like what nelson did, it's just more embarrassing Kite more.. don't anyone think so?

Nelson is so good at mind games. He deliberately does his provoking before the opponent starts his turn to throw them off and their rhythm.

1st round decided it. Nelson killed it, Kite got monotonous. He killed it though on the second round, but Nelson was consistent.

I could always feel Nelsons ideologies, but he really improved, i really enjoy watchin him now, its like his body caught up to his mind :D

Crazy Battle. Kite is my favorite dancer of all time as of now, but I think the battle was judged fairly. Bravo!
