Could you clarify what exactly needs to be entered in the username/password section when authentication is enabled?

the username and password refer to the credentials of the email account that will be used to send emails from Keycloak.
This is typically an email service that allows programmatic access via SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Pr Otocol)
