I had a different list all together to start with, but sadly that list put me over by $1-$4 and that list (AKA:now called Honorable mentions) being : final fantasy XII ,Rumble Roses ,Star Wars Bounty Hunter ,X-Men Legends , X-Men: Next Dimension ,SSX ,Soulcalibur II ,Burnout Revenge ,XII . for both lists i tried to include a fighting, wrestling , fps /shooter, rpg/rpg like , racing, action, sport, and co -op game of some kind.
What about Twisted Metal Black??? A little pricey at $12.99 but hours and hours of replay ability and unlockables. It was why I had to have a PS2 back in the day
Oh and Madden 05 is still the GOAT. Hit Stick, Multi Year Franchise, Fantasy Draft, The Weekly Show where he would talk about your team and the highlights of the week, the gameplay was solid....this was the pinnacle of Madden for me
The best budget loose games around me are at a second hand store where they have a rack of games that are six games for $20. It includes games as far back to you as N64 This week I received wave race blue storm from an eBay purchase complete in the box I had never played it from 20 years ago and it’s very good
I made a promise to myself that I wouldn’t skip a single class during my junior or senior year of college. NBA street was so addictive that I almost broke my promise. I dragged myself to the 5pm class, but I never made the promise I wouldn’t leave early. I stayed for 30 minutes then left to play more NBA Street. No regrets
it's amazing that you can still get great deals with bundles, usually "just as left in a box 12 years ago, console, games and all" for the brilliant PS2!
The ps2 has a pretty awesome library. That being said, I would basically exclude any game that is also available on Xbox as the Xbox version is usually even cheaper and better. Xboxes are so cheap that owning both is easy. I think $100 could easily get you a solid list of exclusives. And for those that prefer the ps2 controller, I bought a dual shock 2 to Xbox adapter for $10 so that can be easily solved. Solid video and looking forward to the next one!

I would replace some of those sports games with Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter game, Burnout 3/Revenge, Socom 2, Kingdom Hearts, FFX, War of Monsters, Soul Caliber 3, Flipnic, SSX Tricky, Killzone, Star Wars Battlefront, and a ton more!

The top 5 games that I would want in my collection, Shadow of the Colossus, The Suffering, Manhunt, Time Splitters 2, and Beyond Good and Evil (underrated imo)...rounding off with the Mega Man X collection cause I love the original X series.
Great video. Probably my favorite console. So many fun games and memories made. Glad it's rather cheap to collect for too. I would have picked SVR 2006 personally. I got SVR 07 for the 360 when it came out and I just felt like 06 was an easier pick up and play game. And a big improvement from the first SVR
007 Nightfire is by far one of, if not THE best Bond game. Thats right shots fired at you golden-eye fans. If you haven't played Nightfire your missing out.

Probably the hardest console to do a $100 challenge. There's so much choice. Being British I would have started with a couple of soccer games. The Getaway is cheap. Although its gameplay is dated, it has an interesting story, and is amongst the best graphics on the PS2. Burnout 3 and Timesplitters 2 are must haves on any console they were released on. GTA: The Trilogy is a cheap collection. A better deal than buying just one of the GTA games.
Personally, I find the first Red Faction better than the second. Fantastic story and gameplay. The second one does have a great campaign as well though.
My absolute love for RF 2 is around the split screen multiplayer. It’s all time top for me. I do agree with you on the campaign in the first being better.
Great list. I have been collecting PS2 a lot during this year and most games are 5-10€ over here in Germany. What a great value for money these games are. I am making my way through racing games most of the time. Need for Speed had its prime during this era. Playing Hot Pursuit 2 right now. It is such a classic Arcade Racer. Why don’t they make games like this anymore? But who cares. I just stick to the old stuff and be happy.
Can't go wrong with any of these games. In my list I'd squeeze in Twisted Metal Black and Tekken Tag Tournament. Great series, nothing like listening to two broskis bs'n about games 🤟Cheers!!

For my list, I would need Final Fantasy X in there (although you can get remasters now) that was the last FF that could beat, everything else changed the game play formula too much and I can't do it anymore. I tried to like Kingdom Hearts, tried it 3 separate times over a decade, each time I give up, I'm sad I don't like it, its right up my alley but the gameplay is boring to me. MGS2 holds up really well, once you have 3 and 4, you can go back to 2 and appreciate it for what it is. Sure less Snake, I get it, but you get your Snake fill else where, but that climax is borderline scary these days. That said, a collection needs MGS 3 I would say more than 2. But that's just me. I would also throw Stuntman in there. That game was really unique and Burnout 3 takedown. I also love Outrun 2006, but I think its a pretty penny. I would round it out with Soul Reaver 2 and Red Dead Revolver.

I still play ps2 and to me the best first person and third person shooters are exclusive, such as killzone/ transformers 2004/ socom 1,2,3/ socom combined assault/ jet li rise to honor, they are fantastic games, I think metal gear 2 is excellent and Nba street from 2001 is fantastic the gameplay is very addictive and I beat the game many times. Nba street vol 2 and 3 gets boring, they're good but not great.

Probably the hardest console to do a $100 challenge. There's so much choice.
Being British I would have started with a couple of soccer games.
The Getaway is cheap. Although its gameplay is dated, it has an interesting story, and is amongst the best graphics on the PS2.
Burnout 3 and Timesplitters 2 are must haves on any console they were released on.
GTA: The Trilogy is a cheap collection. A better deal than buying just one of the GTA games.

Personally, I find the first Red Faction better than the second. Fantastic story and gameplay.
The second one does have a great campaign as well though.
My absolute love for RF 2 is around the split screen multiplayer. It’s all time top for me. I do agree with you on the campaign in the first being better.
@@GamingOffTheGrid I don't play lots of local multiplayer (if any), I'm more of a single-player guy. So RF1 will always be my favourite of the two :)
Smack down vs raw 2007 was the best in my opinion. 2006 is close for me tho. Tiger woods 05 has my favorite putting mechanics.

Great list. I have been collecting PS2 a lot during this year and most games are 5-10€ over here in Germany. What a great value for money these games are.
I am making my way through racing games most of the time. Need for Speed had its prime during this era. Playing Hot Pursuit 2 right now. It is such a classic Arcade Racer. Why don’t they make games like this anymore? But who cares. I just stick to the old stuff and be happy.

I have all of the madden games for the ps2 but my favorite madden game on the ps2 is 06 because of the superstar mode in it

I grew up in the '90s i used to run with a Hispanic gang and sometimes we would interact with the black gangs and I think that's why San Andreas is the best GTA in my opinion because they got so many things right that whole '90s Culture The Gangs culture it was spot on and that's why San Andreas is so nostalgic to me because it captured my lifestyle they really did homework when they created San

For my list, I would need Final Fantasy X in there (although you can get remasters now) that was the last FF that could beat, everything else changed the game play formula too much and I can't do it anymore. I tried to like Kingdom Hearts, tried it 3 separate times over a decade, each time I give up, I'm sad I don't like it, its right up my alley but the gameplay is boring to me.
MGS2 holds up really well, once you have 3 and 4, you can go back to 2 and appreciate it for what it is. Sure less Snake, I get it, but you get your Snake fill else where, but that climax is borderline scary these days. That said, a collection needs MGS 3 I would say more than 2. But that's just me.
I would also throw Stuntman in there. That game was really unique and Burnout 3 takedown. I also love Outrun 2006, but I think its a pretty penny.
I would round it out with Soul Reaver 2 and Red Dead Revolver.

I still play ps2 and to me the best first person and third person shooters are exclusive, such as killzone/ transformers 2004/ socom 1,2,3/ socom combined assault/ jet li rise to honor, they are fantastic games, I think metal gear 2 is excellent and Nba street from 2001 is fantastic the gameplay is very addictive and I beat the game many times. Nba street vol 2 and 3 gets boring, they're good but not great.
