This is the best video by far showing how to correctly repair the circuit board that commonly fails on these Expeditions. There’s 55 amps total current that runs through the 30 amp PCM relay that you repaired the trace on, almost all electronics on the motor itself plus the fuel pump. I will be adding an external (replaceable)fuel pump relay and fuse that will be fed off the main wire that comes into the fuse box to avoid this ever happening again to me. Going to change the fuel filter too. Dealer wanted $500 bucks to repair, thanks for this video. Awesome soldering skills Ben!!
Excellent job and I learned a LOT on soldering. I have to do this on a 2005 Expedition. One thing that I am sure you know by now is that terminal was put back in the wrong direction from original ;)
Thank you for sharing, I noticed, when you removed and reattached the clip, you put it in 90* off.. I know this was 2 years ago, but it helped me today, I have a 2004 Expedition, the mechanic said it was my pump, I told him, I just replaced it last year, so I trusted him and $300.00 later, I have a new pump and still no start, I seen some video's saying the relay, Yours was more detail in the soldering of it, and my board looked almost the exact same, that same connecter was burnt on mine.. and when I watched an I don't think many people noticed you resoldering that 90* out.. I wont tell.. LOL.. Thank you for sharing.. It still helped me a lot.. Also when I replaced the relay, I soldered in standoffs and clips on it and the relay so I could just plug it in and replace it easier if it goes out again.. I also did the same to the rest of the relays that were "None-serviceable"
Here is a tip for you - First before de-soldering the relay out - Flood the terminal with leaded solder then de-solder the relay that way you do less damage to the PC Board and the traces.
I have problem with my 2005 f150, thought it was fuel pump and fuel pump driver module not getting power to pump think it is same fuel pump relay, is it hard to take ok electric board from fuse box?
I would have to say that it is not particularly hard but it is very time consuming. You first have to remove the fuse box and then remove all the fuses and big relays, I would definitely take a picture before you take out all the fuses and relays so you know where they all go, you then have to separate the plastic shell, then you can remove the board from the case.
Yes it is, just solder in wires to extend the connection and a standard relay should work just fine. You would just need to make sure that you have enough room for it externally.
Nope nope its none of the above, the problem here is the grounding check your ground the ground is faulty ,what are you guys talking about, you still havent figure it out,if you dont have proper ground the issue will never go away go clean and tighten up your ground and problem solve,G'S UP..😎

Is it possible you can make a video of that?
Look for (shop talk ) he has a very good video on this.

Thank you for the video!!! I followed the video and fixed my son’s 03 expedition!!!
Was great seeing you at Carowinds yesterday!
Very cool and technical, clean and very well done.
Can you replace just the circuit board?
Here is a tip for you - First before de-soldering the relay out - Flood the terminal with leaded solder then de-solder the relay that way you do less damage to the PC Board and the traces.
Hey what type of solder wire is best to use for me to use to repair this in my truck.
Will shops not mention this as an alternative to replacing the entire 'fuse box' or refuse it altogether?

En estas piezas solamente se cambia el rele que ya no sirve ?
You did a great job, bro you deserve it A+
Thanks for the compliment. 👍
Great presentation. Thank you!
i have a 2006 lincoln navigator.my cj b is bad.can i get it repaired or refurbish.vehicle will not start.fuel pump is good.
Is it possible to wire in an external relay?
Yes it is, just solder in wires to extend the connection and a standard relay should work just fine. You would just need to make sure that you have enough room for it externally.
Dónde se consigue ese tipo de relevadores?
The large connector was reinstalled wrong at 90degrees from original position, but thanks for the relay link.
Awesome. Thank you.
What type of soldering wire did you use or recommend?
I use kester brand 60/40
You can fix anything!
Maybe not anything but I can try lol. Thanks 👍
Great video thanks 🙏🏻
Thank you!
He just saved his friend $650 right there

how can i do that, i just replace 2 times the fuel pump in mi ford expedition and keeps stalling while running, thanks
Ooops! 90 Degrees off.
