@Sillify2 I think she means liking the recap video before watching the recap, because the recaps are typically well done. Not necessarily watching the recap before watching the movie. If I'm wrong then I'm just as puzzled as you.
I thought they might include the news in the end, of possible war in Korea. Showing that while they are rid of the virus, this means that the usual problems will remain. But Isaac Asimov included this in some of his sci-fi novels: an alien form of life controlling the larger life forms on their planet, for total peace, where nothing ever develops because no one feels the need to compete. Life will never reach the stars, and won't survive in the distant future. He concluded that a world with the instinct for competition was better, even though it also leads to strife.
I always thought the end of the movie was the psychiatrist questioning if she had done the right thing by trying to help stop the infection. Because on the news at the end all of these awful things are being shown, and a big portion of the movie was that the virus stopped those awful things from happening by taking away people's emotions. It was very philosophical to my teenage self LOL
She does seems to think about how ‘normal’ things are again, with wars, murders, etc. Yet how many people would want to become a emotionless lackluster beings!?!??!
Honestly, I would say that one of the functions of this "virus," rather, bacterium, is to prevent a person's "fight or flight" system from kicking in, among other neurochemical receptors, given human beings experience emotion because of the neurochemicals our brains and bodies create. However, the lack of sleep would doom humanity, as we can not go longer than three weeks without sleep. When that happens, we suffer psychotic breaks and we no longer recognize what is reality and what isn't.
After being infected you don't turn until you fall asleep. But some people fall asleep and dont turn. Like her patient and son. The uninfected focus on saving those people to find a cure / vaccine.
Nah, not bacteria. It seems more like a fungus. Probably the closest on earth is Ophiocordyseps unilaterialis. Cordyseps are able to mindcontrol insects. F.e. they make ants to climb up trees and stay there, high above the ground, until the fungus burst out of their bodies and can spread it's spores over a larger area. So for me, the mindcontrol thing looks more like a fungus 🤷♂️
Worst than that, there's an actual fatal disease that will 100 percent kill you: Fatal familial insomnia (FFI) is a rare genetic condition that causes progressively worsening insomnia - an inability to sleep. The insomnia worsens to the point that it severely impacts daily functioning, eventually causing coma and then death.

7:37 Freakin carol got all those people killed 😂
The amount of plot armor in this movie is insane
1:01 the irony in the dude's name kaufman- cough man - center of disease control lol.
This could’ve been avoided if the head of the cdc followed their own protocol
Government said “Nigga you can’t sleep💀”

8:29 "The infected cops zap her with a stick and knock her out". That "stick" is called a tazer. 😂😂😂
I love that I know I would’ve been one of the immune since I have a brain tumour that way I can overthink how I’d try to survive this wildly unrealistic situation lol.
CDC : we are centre for disease control
Again CDC : Lets pretend nothing happens with the contact of this strange debris 😂
Sleeping isn’t forbidden. Usually this channel doesn’t have such inaccurate titles. I love in the movie when Nicole Kidman just knocks the other kid out.
And I like the line the black doctor says at the end about if we’re really better off
I expected something really funny from this channel when Nicole just knocks that other kid out
2:50 well if she gives him enough of it, it will stop him from doing...

Damn, artists, engineers, and college students will survive the longest in this world
