Great video. The fast forward disclaimer and the revelation that no unobtainable vintage OC2 was involved - they both made me laugh. That's a bonus in a highly professional and informative film.
New Vertex pedalboard?!? Yessss!! Love Uncle Mason’s channel, and I was hoping to see him do more bass pedalboard builds. I hope there’s a video on this coming soon! Keep up the great work, Janek! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I actually did the build due to Covid, but Mason sent me a couple of boards, and I of course used all of his youtube guidance to put it together. I'm really looking forward to being able to have him do a super-baller touring rig for me once we're. a little less restricted by the pandemic, and really get the best possible setup with custom power cables, buffers, custom interface, and all the stuff he's the man at and I can't even get close to.
I guess Im asking the wrong place but does anybody know of a tool to log back into an instagram account? I was dumb lost my password. I would love any assistance you can offer me
Amazing jam at the end! can't wait to see the vertex video, I really enjoy Mason's vids but the fact that he's been working on a board with you makes it even more enjoyable jaja
I wish Mason had been working on the board with me!The end product would be waaaaay better, and I would be less stressed about soldering. But due to Covid, our planned collaboration we had talked about over a year ago, didn't work out yet. He sent me two of the Vertex boards so I could have a stab at building my own, and I used all of his RUclips guidance to put this one together. It's really fun to do, but it's a lot of work, and I know it's not even close to the kind of pro level he'll be able to bring to a rig once we're less restricted here by covid.
That is the most god-awful sounding thing I have ever heard in my life. Any Bassist in my band that tries to make a noise like that is fired immediately. Oh, who am I kidding? I love it!
Big time. I'm a huge fan, even though I haven't gotten on particularly well with others that I've tried. This was super easy to get into, and I still love listening to Tim Lefebvre use the Tensor.
I've gotten stuff from that store. I'm a guitar player, but this makes me want to get my Bass out. I have the Red Panda Particle. I have the Particle in a separate, parallel loop. This would be a good compliment for that. It's on my Watchlist. Thanks!
I started to play guitar recently, and i have played with reverb and delay with bit crusher after and it gives me really cool textures for ambient glitchy stuff.
I did that, I end up buying a synth and it took me to a complete different place that playing the bass with pedals! but anyway playing synths had an effect on my sonic exploration on the bass as well so I guess all the options are good to try cause you'll learn something new
I'm going direct right now, and not using any of the Unison plugins in Console. I like to go pretty clean with the bass because I'm just not an engineer with the skills to make the most of all the plugins. But I do use some stuff in the chain when I'm recording the voice stuff. That is pretty easy to dial in, and makes a world of difference on the front end. I'm going to do some remote sessions at my house with an engineer in another country making all the technical moves as I play, so I'm sure we'll start using the Apollo to it's full potential then.
Let's be clear: there's a big difference between the pedal not being on your color spectrum, and it sucking. The pedal doesn't suck, but I can't also would not dispute that it might not be to your liking.
@@janekgwizdala I would have to to hear how it would sound and work in a full song. That color by itself just don't do it for me. What I'm saying is it doesn't give me any creator inspiration.

🤣I almost did the fast forward manually... but final cut speed adjustment won out in the end... I should post the out-takes at some point.

@@janekgwizdala He’s been teasing a Bass Pedalboard build on his channel for a while now. I’m quite looking forward to it.
Top notch²³ - on of the best gear demos around! Mange Tak! 🥰
I'm sold on this pedal. Red Panda should pay you for this video.
This is so fantastic!
Every Pedal Studio video just keeps on giving!

That’s a nice vibe. I like.

You need to do an in-depth of this board and how you made that awesome closing sequence.
I will have an in-depth video on the board build in the next couple of weeks for sure.
That is a very musical sounding bit crusher! Great video as always!
Love the video, Janek! Thanks for this one. This is a sound that I could see incorporating in my super small pedal arsenal.

F**k. I really wish i could go to that store... :O
Great video, too!
LOVE this pedal and geat vid! I really gotta get around to doing my demo 🙄
that store looks like apple store for synths
hahaha. yes, it is rather like the Apple store of pedals and synths. I can't believe I didn't know about it until about 6 months ago.
Sounds grimey! ❤️
mxr vintage octave pedal costs a lot more than my Japanese built OC2 did, but then your pedal board cost more than my car 👀
Then you got really luck with a japanese OC-2 that cheap... You could probably sell it and buy a new car now!

Love the video and cool pedal, but I do sometimes wonder whether you could save money while having a lighter setup by buying a nice synth instead.
He's got a Source Audio C4 (among others, I think.) He's even reviewed it.
ruclips.net/video/YPcBSZk3OoY/видео.html
@@thatpaulschofield Yeah, but I think the C4 is more for doing a planned set, not sonic exploration.

Janek, I'm curious of your signal path going into the Apollo or are you going from the pedal to the hi-z/ are you using any of the unison plug-ins?

Janek what’s your discord?
What is that white pedal next to the Ditto?
GFI systems specular tempus
@@jonmuir13 Thanks! I eventually figured it out.
I know there was no plan for that in the video but for comments... if you would have to pick between that or Ottobit what would it be?

Well they are made in Detroit.
