Y’all, you should know by now that everything this man does and says means something. Everywhere he stands. The tiny glances he gives. (e.g., tale of Jenny: she’s draggin’ her feet = foot dragger. When he says, “can you blame?”, he briefly looks at the graffiti on the wall that says Lick Ba!!s. Can you blame? She was 14. No parents. Imagine how she grew up.)
The point is, he gives these amazing clues along the way. When we look back it’s obvious, which only makes him more brilliant still because that’s how life is. ‘If only we could see everything and see it clearly in the moment?’
