I think that after the success of the album fever she did not keep up releasing songs as beautiful as those, but I agree it's hard to follow an album like that, i personally don't know the solution but wish she had more recognition

I think some of her labels were lazy at marketing, look at the US dance charts, she did well in that category, for US her music is not considered mainstream its categorized as dance music
She doesn't gave a powerful voice and people who don't know much about singing and music believe that having a wide vocal range or powerful voice is the pinnacle of being a good artist/performer. There are plenty of artist that are successfully without having belt out their lyrics.
