So many memories at that location As a child, as a lover, as a father. I could almost see the images of the people in my life splashing through the cold surf. Thanks.
This feels so relaxing. As a former resident of the presidio (I lived up the hill from baker beach), it gives a nostalgia I really miss. Listening to the fog horns, and the waves crashing. I lived in SF for a decade, it holds a very special place in my heart. Some of my most profound memories are being at Ocean and Baker beach, taking in the powerful sounds of the waves. Thank you for this!
Sometimes we just need to take a break from this busy life and explore the beauty of mother nature. This video is by far one of the best way to do that. Loved it.
I always find that other ocean sounds are too aggressive or overly produced. Growing up in the Bay Area, the pacific ocean has a specific sound and this is just perfect. I can feel the ocean mist on my face. Thank you for capturing home.
Yeah it definitely captured home, I grew up on a hill that lead down directly into this beach, until I was 9 this was what I woke up to, it was absolutely beautiful. The fog horns, the beach waves, even ol' golden gate. Since then I live up in the sunset, directly on Ocean Beach, I can agree it is so much more aggressive and not calming, but baker beach is just perfect (I can agree on the aggressiveness of the ocean in some other main oceans).. I still visit but ever since it was rare for me to come in on mornings like these. It's even better when its foggy out, and all you can feel is the cold, gentle ocean water (it's weird to describe but mist I guess?) on your cheeks, it's just more than I could ever ask for.. I'd recommend that if you still live in the Bay, come around at 5 am (be careful, the presidio has had a HUGE impact on druggie homeless), and sit out on that curvy hill? The one that if you take the straight up one, leads you to golden gate/Krissy field. It is so refreshing.. I go get donuts over on geary early on in the morning before work sometimes, and go sit out there with my dog. It truly feels great.
