Windows installation failed with error “Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The Selected disk has an MBR Partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT. On Windows 11, you can use the MBR2GPT command line tool to convert a drive using a Master Boot Record (MBR) to a GUID Partition Table (GPT) partition style, which allows you to properly switch from Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) to Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) without modifying the current installation or deleting the data stored on the drive.
BIOS is an essential piece of code that resides on a special chip on the motherboard that enables the connection between hardware and software. This code has been around for a long time, and while it worked pretty well, it was never designed for modern hardware, and it had many limitations, including limitations to partitions smaller than 2TB.
This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 11 operating system (Home, Professional, Enterprise, Education) from all supported hardware manufactures, like Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, Huawei and Samsung.

I knew about the Diskpart commands but didn't know how to enter the CMD on installation. I pulled the HD and formatted/converted from MBR on another PC 😧

I only wanted to convert just one primary drive on which windows can be installed but this process entirely converted the ssd and all the data stored into it just vanished. Is there anyway alternative way to recover my lost data now ?

While type clean, it will delete all data's ah ?
Don't delete lol your recovery partition before you make the recovery.
3 guesses what I did
I selected primary partition in this process accidentally and it is converted to system partition now . Any way to revert it back to primary partition ?

In my case the product key was not visible. Shift F10 did work and all command completed correctly but the screen where to install still has the yellow stop sign can't install and details the MRB is gone so that did work but now wimdows does not support USB or IEEE 1394 port. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
