My favorite lipstick is from Chantecaille’s Lip Veil formulation. It’s hard to pick between the colors Rock Rose and Impatiens, as I love both. 💜

Yes my mother gave me a gorgeous art deco lipstick case. Its silver with a floral engraving and a pop out mirror held in place with a periwinkle stone. Its gorgeous I love it.

Angela can you give me your thoughts on the new Sisley foundation? The one with the zebra design on it. Have you seen or tried the Surratt dew drops foundation yet? A comparison to the Sisley and Surratt would be great. I like light coverage and dewy is why I am asking about these 2.

That lipstick case is to die for 😍 I have no words for it.... so elegant, classy, stylish and eternal beauty. Needless to say anything more about the pink color... u already know my preferences 😍 I love all 3 pinkish lipsticks as you know I don’t do so great with red. That lipstick case is definitely a collector’s piece and something that can be passed to our daughters ☺️

Hello Janette :) King is a red color that has warm undertone. It's very beautiful and brightens up the complexion. It has a little orange but overall it's a red color :) I feel comfortable to wear it every day.

Thank you, Angela for a through review of these lipsticks. It was helpful to see the shades in different lighting. Most of the things I have from my mother are silk scarves and jewelry but I do have a beautiful powder compact from my grandmother that was produced in the 1940’s.

Hi Angelafor. These will sound very strange coming from someone whonloves skin care and makeup. I never saw my mother wear lipstick bor any other makeup. She use whatever soapnwasnin the shower to wash her face. Obviously I didin't inherited any makeup. But I did inheritedbsome beautiful pieces of jewelry. So Why my love for makeup and skin care??. I just order two lipsticks and the box with the assorted perfumes from House of Sillage. XO

I keep my mother's Chanel N 5. She passed away years ago and I kept her last perfume. I haven't tried anything from House of Sillage but I'm curious now. Thanks for the wonderful swatches. I will check out the fragrances and I'll let you know. I can get this pretty lipstick case for myself for Christmas. ❤️

Beautiful lipsticks and limited edition case 💖House of Sillage is a new brand for me and I’m very curious to try one of their lipsticks. The case is stunning and I do agree that it is an heirloom to pass on to your daughter or granddaughter. Two years ago my Mom gifted me some jewelry that she was no longer wearing; she gave me her engagement ring and diamond earrings. I told her that I would treasure these items and wear them with love. I hope one day to give each of my sons one of these jewelry pieces for their wives as I’m an only child with two sons 😊

I completely agree with you on how this would make an excellent piece to pass down for generations. Lately, I have been thinking about this a lot. I believe it is better to not buy as much, yet buy pieces to create a collection of items which can be passed down. These things will be more expensive, yet they aren't just throwaway items that will fill landfills. Then you have the stories and memories that build up over time which ultimately creates the most value on a personal level for relatives down the line. I might not be at a place in my life where I can responsibly purchase one of these, but it has definitely been added to a list of items I intend to purchase when it is financially feesable - with the intention of passing down.

Yes, I have received a lipstick case from my mother. Its a red and gold damask patterned one, with a tiny mirror in it. My name is "Georgia" and so was my granmothers. It is a name relevant to everything that has to do with the earth. Since Demeter was the ancient Greek Goddess of earth, ariculture and fertility, grandma had a pair of earrings that were the symbol of that goddess: golden wheat. Those were passed down to me. My great Aunt left me crystal perfume bottles and all the crystal items she used on her vanity. They are very classy. Love them all.

I have seen a few reviews on these cases and they always look difficult to get the lid off. Is it as hard to pull of as it comes across?
