Well done! Having grown up experiencing the Black church, this piece captures the celebration that happens on Sundays in the Black community very well!
I’ve listened to several different recordings of this (as well as listening to one in real life) and so far this is the best tenor sax solo I’ve heard!
@@BrianKachurso I’m auditioning on this Tuesday and I kept thinking the end needs a lick like that but I’m scared to do it cause I don’t know if it will kill my audition or not. Did you get permission to add that little stuff at the end instead of just holding the F out?
@@BrianKachurokay as I get to more recent performances everyone is adding stuff at the end. I think you set the trend my man. So if everyone is now doing that at the end I’m gonna do it to on my audition lol.

Sounds great! I think that's the first band piece I've seen with a doubled soprano sax part. Awesome!
The conductor couldn’t have shown less energy on Shout! Otherwise, it was a good performance and the tenor soloist killed it
Clean but no soul. Sorry Michigan but Baylor still my go to on this one.
No horns???
At 10:15 they actually show the horns lol
