Thank you so much for this, after watching this clip I replaced the stock pump that came with the waterbox20 with this exact one, works so much better, thank you!!!
How is the DCS-1200 pump going as it's been over 1.5 years since you did the video? I have a Waterbox Peninsular Mini 25 and installed a 1.0 SiCCA pump that has a high flow but very noisy and because of the high flow any restrictions from the sock or middle chamber can run the pump dry. Looking at changing it the DCS-1200 what are your thoughts?
You head pressure is more like 4inchs. Head pressure starts at the water level of the return chamber. Lower the water more head pressure, higher the water less head pressure. But great little pump love jabeo equipment.
What i've done with my Waterbox pump is to let it float slightly above the bottom. It is way more quiet than on it's rubber feet ánd you can take it out in a second if you want. Simply cut an inch of the hose and then the pump flows a little above the bottom. It hangs on the hose. To avoid that it touches a sidewall and becomes noisy i glued a piece of tank underlay mat under the rubber feet slightly bigger than the pump circumference. The pump cant touch a sidewall anymore.
Hey mate, I have a watebox 20 with a sicce silent 1.0 that creates a lot of vibration noise. How do you rate the noise with the jebao on this tank? Thanks
Nice upgrade. I wish you did this with a tank with two return nozzles. Finding a Y adapter to attach one pump was a headache for me. I got it tho but I had to do this ugly a$$ diy cutting of hoses to attach one pump to the right size nozzle and Y adapter. See? It's even hard to explain exactly what I did.
3 - its kinda loud - on the waterbox and IM tanks, thats one of the places they save money - I always swap them out.
I agree 💯 it was very noisy
I love the Jebao/Jecod pumps, it’s all I use. Cheap and effective, perfect 👌🏻
Definitely 💯👍

👍👍👍
That’s going to be a nice little system when it’s done. You can’t beat the Jecod/Jebaos for the money..
Great bang for the buck 👍
Lots of flow!! Great little pump
Yup, good bang for the buck 👍
I just got the 20 cube I'm thinking of making the return a y fitting with 2 returns what do u think
That would work 👍
Sigh. I can’t unsee this. Now I need to upgrade the pump in Mollywood. Gee thanks. 😩 🤪
Lol you're welcome 🤪
was the jebao nice and quiet? Planning on getting one for my bedroom tank. Helpful vid thanks!
It was a tad bit noisy on high speed

My jebao was very loud after a few months. I put in a hydor 185gph and it was silent
Nice pump fits right in 👍
It was a perfect fit 👍👍

I always add head pressure for elbows too👍
Awesome. I has been looking at this exact pump wondering if it would fit. Thank you.
It got noisy after a few weeks. I ended up putting in a hydor 185gph pump
@@BillyPipes I just bought one earlier, hopefully I don't have to go the same route lol.
Hi Billy ... the DCS 1200 installed yesterday ... boahhhh it screams as loud as a turbine.
I think the problem is the controller ???
Mines pretty quiet. maybe run it in warm water for a little bit.
That pump is pretty strong
Jecod strong 👍
Nice little pump. I love jecod pumps
I love all jecod equipment 💪👍
Nice upgrade.
👍👍
good little pump for a nano. Dave will be proud. #DNTSQUAD
Dave loved a good jecod 👍
Is this return pump quieter and will it fit the 10? Will it be too much in the the 10?
I think it would be too much for the 10. Not sure of the size of the chamber so not sure if it would fit
Would you do this one on the waterbox 30 or step up to the 2000 it has a Y flow nozzle?
I would use a 2000 if it fits👍
That’s some flow for you
Jecod power 💪
Nice upgrade buddy
Thanks man 👍
Awesome upgrade🤙🏾
It was an easy one buddy
Merci BILLY !!! 👍👍👍
😁😁
Not that it matters but the head pressure should be calculated from the water level in your return section.
Yup true, plus the elbow 👍

The jebao was loudy also. I ended up using a hydor 185 gph pump that had suction cup feet which is what i think is the key to it being quiet 👍
Billy Pipes do you still recommend the hydor 185?

I know the y fittings are difficult to find. I looked for a 1" y a few years ago and couldn't find one
Yea had that kind of pump. Grabbed by cord and it fried.
Mine is over 3 yrs old now
Do you know the dimensions of the pump? I need to upgrade the pump on my Lifegard 9.98g but the chambers are very tight
It's about 3.5" long and 2" wide👍
What wave maker are you running? Looks like a jebao slw?
I was originally going to run the slw 20 I have. But picked up a Nero 5 from ecotech 👍
Any thoughts on an upgrade pump for the WB cube 10?
I ended up using the hydor 185gph pump. Super quite and last a really long time
@@BillyPipes which hydor pump do you mean exactly?
Would that pump fit in WB10 do you know?
Im not sure
Just got a Jebao dcs-1200, it produces a high pitched whine and is louder than the standard WP pump. :-(
Mine did too after a short while. I put in the hydor 185gph pump. It fits perfectly and is totally silent
@@BillyPipes Odd isn't it. Some say the Jebao is dead silent, others say it whines. I wonder what causes the whine.
I wish I knew
@@BillyPipes Did you buy yours cheap from Ali? I did. Maybe they are dumping the noisy ones there.
Billy I ordered the DCS 2000 from jecod.
It's a good little pump👍
What pump do you recommend now?
I still like the Hydor I put on it. Its 185gph. Super quiet
Hang on. You said it's quiet, but then pinned that comment... Should I seriously buy a new pump if this is going on my bedroom?
The pump was super quiet but not when it was in that tank. I pinned it so ppl would see that its not quiet in a chamber
@@BillyPipes Oh.
Couldn't you cut the suction cups off and save the $
I did at first and the pump was very noisy
