This is mine pretty much the whole marriage. Now that I am taking my following Christ seriously it is in some ways encouraging him (though he is still trying it in his strength and will without renewing his mind) but in other ways angering him because he cant understand why it is working “so easy” for me and he doesnt like how its changed my whole perspective. I no longer need his approval and him to be happy with me for me to feel good and secure. I am no longer clingy and worried but I still need time wit him to grow our marriage relationship. If he wont do it; he sees me lean into Jesus and I think he is expecting me to whine, yell and beg him like the last 10 years to give me what I need and I am done. He can choose what he wants and I will allow God to work on him or work him out of my life. I wont leave, We have 4 kids, except for physical abuse or cheating on me…. The I am out… God can choose to handle this His way and I will endure until then!
I needed this reminder today! The pull to reach out to my *fine* but super broken ex has been so strong lately... I feel on the verge of breakthrough but the pull back to dysfunction is strong. This really encouraged me by reminding me of the truth of my heart-amnesia. He needs healing & I cannot help with that. Best to stay out of the way & let God be God. He is THE Healer. That comforts me knowing He's got this.
Im right here with you Amy. I love my ex so much but our relationship was so dysfunctional. And i can't give him what God can give him. I had reached out and we were trying to "work things out" by reading the word and praying but just in those two days he was already pulling at me and exhausting me all over again so i had to cut it off.

Done. In the meantime, be ruthless with your self care. 1) Get a routine. Doesn't have to be extremely strict. But a morning and night regime helps lower anxiety. It adds structure and guidance to the day. 2) Exercise. Find an activity that you like to do in order to get the heart pumping and have fun. 3) Get outside. The blues and greens in nature synthesize a form of Vit d that helps combat depression. 4) Eat healthy. Junk food can give you brain fog due to the heavy amounts of preservatives and msg used by companies. Fresh or frozen vegetables, fruits and meats. 5) Journal. Doesn't have to be long or elaborate. The point is to get it out of your head so it doesn't keep playing like a broken record. 6) Be open. When you ask for help, it may not come how you expect. God is awesome and likes to blow our minds. Can't put Him in a box. 7) Cry. It's cathartic and refreshing. Allow it to flow up and don't stop it. You will stop crying eventually and you will find that you feel lighter. 8) Grace. Give yourself lots of it! You didn't know what you didn't know. And even if you did have good knowledge, you can't control how others react/respond. 9) Forgiveness. Forgive yourself and others for EVERYTHING. What's done is done and can't be undone. If relationships can be mended, attempt to do so but again, we can't control others responses. Mourn for the loss of those things which have died and ask God for a total healing of your heart, emotions, mind, and spirit. 10) Monitor your ear and eye gates. Certain sights and sounds can trigger depressive cycles. If you notice that after viewing or hearing a certain show or music you feel down, cut it out completely. Substitute with the Word, praise and worship music, nature sounds. Also, this applies with people. 11) Hold on. Healing is a process and it gets rocky. Allow yourself to feel what you feel and sit in it. Journal and pray about it. The freedom on the other side is so worth it. Blessings on your healing journey 💞💫❤🧡💛💚💙💜

The church focuses more on pleasing the women. The church never talks about the broken women and how they damage men. Even Jerry never preaches on how the women can really build or break a man. God has led him to minister to women and call out the good and bad men and never address the ugliness in women. I love him though. He’s helped me a lot but I’m just being honest. Women get excuses for how they are while men get corrected.
