Pat is the real deal. I'm not even close to being a Chief's fan, but I'm a Mahomes' fan. I watched this kid play in High School when my kids' school played against him during his senior year. I knew then that he was talented and was going to make it far. This kid has a talent that doesn't come along often. He is a raw athlete.

I'm a Bears fan and the Chiefs are my 2nd team from clear back in the Hank Stram days. As a kid growing up we got the Bears game almost every week in Great Falls, MT... and the AFC game in the afternoon... so lots of Chiefs-Broncos-Raiders-Chargers. Born in 1952, Butkus and Sayers came along about the time I was getting serious about liking football, so they became my team in large part due to their Defense.
I love seeing that Mahomes has fun playing, but he knows when to be serious and call out his guys when they aren't playing up to standard. As an on field leader, he is a monster.
